ELPaso1990TX Yes that was a feature of the FGW train, as soon as it came round Langstone Rock or through Parsons tunnel you knew it was the FGW train!!..They must have had to look hard to find a serviceable one even back then!!
Some nice stuff on here Nick, just come across this by accident.I have similar footage from where you filmed this on my channel from 1986-87...Have a look if you like as i will look at some more of your footage from Dawlish...Regards...Trevor.''
Thanks Trevor, I will certainaly have a look at your videos... I used to go to Dawlish every summer and weekends throughout the year .. love the place but it was such a shame to see loco hauled trains and most of the freight dissappear..
Sorry James but I don't understand your comment. Is it because the video is poor quality? I didn't use a tripod back on those days so its not as steady as it should be and it was early in my videoing career so i was still learning. Apologies if I have misunderstood your point.
How times have changed in 20 odd years! 😀👍
Excellent, Nick, keep "em" coming, it's a like, cheers...Bill
84asrd84boxy Thanks Bill
Did anyone notice the MK1 buffet car with the FGW train? Unusual to see MK1 rolling stock in a passenger formation as late as 1999.
