The prophet Daniel describes for us a future event called "the abomination that makes desolate". What is that? Has this already happened or is this something yet to come? Will there be anything in the Hebrew pictographs that might help us understand what this is? Does this somehow relate to Messiah?

I'm very sceptical of this way of 'interpreting' Scripture.
We need to find out what the original words (not the letters numerical values) meant to the original listeners.

No, I think we should be careful of this kind of bible reading.

Isn't there a good possibility of all this taking place within and not outwardly? This coward moving in on the temple of God (us, the body, each individual) and destroying or doing something awful to the spirit which has always dwelt within us? I used to have terrors about the holy spirit being ripped away from me over and over again while He fought and fought. I'm not sure of anything anymore - I just Love my Father. My recent terrors have to do with cannibalism men eating man is what I have been calling it. These nightmare spiritual experiences have been about for 6 years for me and I've been put through the ringer and I'm tired and just want to go home.

If you are able to, during your dreams, call on Jesus! He is able to deliver us, even through our dreams.
Also, I recommend checking out the Good Fight Ministries, who recognize that the spiritual world is a reality.
You shouldnt have to go through these kind of scary experiences without the support of other believers, and good Bible teaching.
You're assuming the spirit has always been within us. God is light and Christ is the image of God. Being made in the image of God is future tense, as we abide in the sun of righteousness, and rightly divide My day into light and night. When we diligently abide in that glory of the incorruptible God is when the Spirit comes. Until then, the dark days and lit nights that separate you from sunlight and night will continue to devour and corrupt whatever life is left in our flesh.
John 3:21 + John 8:56 + Isaiah 5:20 + malachi 4:2 = 2 Timothy 2:15. What the church does is 2 Timothy 2 14, John 3:20, 1 John 1:6, 2 John 1:7, 1 John 3:4,6,9
Salvation is practical and future tense, not left figurative and lying in the past that we cannot know and testify to.

Abomination of Desolation is easy to understand.
There will be a person who is called the wicked one. He will stand in the holy place and declare himself as God. Whoever does not worship him will be put to death. The Lord Jesus Christ said we should escape when we see it happen. This is the most terrible days in human history where almost no flesh will be left. But for the sake of the elect the days of it will be cut short. This will happen just once.
I think this is accurate at the scale of terrestrial humanity, but there is a level of abstraction to bring it down to the level at which spiritual warfare is fought inside us. It's likely fulfilled at both levels, but certainly has to be at the spiritual level.
The body is our temple the desolation is the mark of the beast= alien invasion= zombie

Can anyone be saved,or does God chose who is saved? How do we know if we are truly saved or can a person be self deceived? I'm a new Christian and I'm confused on salvation. How can we be sure?

I've been wondering if "the holy place" might not be referring to Syria and the "wing" of abomination being the flank of an army. Pondering His Awesome Word! Thanks for making these videos. The desolation ,desolator is SATAN himself DEFACTO Antichrist who stands in the HOLY place n makes it polluted . The false Christ..he comes first n the whole reason the people in Israel are building a 3rd temple for their Messiah which isn't our Messiah..

What makes you think you need to know about this?
To claim to be a god, you had to have a SEAL of authority. A seal contained 3 things.
1. Name
2. Title
3. Territory
The word seal is synonomous with the hebrew word SIGN, which is synonomous with the Greek word MARK found in revelation, to describe the beasts authority.
This is how the evil kings, emperors and other rulers understood the "seal". But they understood it in a PHYSICAL sence only. The one and only most high God, Yehivah, YHVH, is SPIRITUAL. His seal is a SPIRITUAL mark.
Deuteronomy explains that the SIGN/MARK on ones hand and forehead are NOT physical Mark's, but spiritual ones. It then explains that the mark on ones right hand symbolizes his spiritual works of hearing and obeying YHVH law and commands. And the mark on ones forehead (the mind), which the hebrews understood to be located on their HEART (not their head), was the spiritual acceptance of Gids law and commands.

Abomination of desolation is a proverbial phrase that could include multiple events.
"substituted in the place of, or set up in opposition to, the ordinances of God, his worship, his truth, etc."

What exactly is the abomination that causes desolation? This abomination is extremely important because it is the single event which triggers the commencement of the great tribulation. In fact , the Lord Jesus told the Jews that they should understand the issues surrounding the setting up of the abomination because as soon as they see this abomination, they must immediately stop everything else and run to the mountains. So what then is the abomination that causes desolation?
A lot of Bible scholars and teachers will tell you that the abomination that causes desolation is the image of the Antichrist which will be set up by the false prophet in the third temple of Jerusalem and which the whole world will be forced to worship (Revelation 13:14-16). While this is certainly an abomination in God’s sight, is this really THE abomination that the prophet Daniel wrote about (Daniel 9:27)? I ask this because other Israelite kings, including Menasseh (2 Chronicles 33:7) have set up and worshipped man-made images in the Jeusalem temple but God has not called these images the abominations that cause desolation. So what is special about the final abomination that is still to cone?
The answer is found in Revelation 12.
So, while Jerusalem is about to give birth or see the resurrection of the 144,000 firstfruits, the devil stands close by so he can devour these people before they can ascend into heaven for the wedding banquet of the Lamb (Song of Solomom 3:6-11). Unfortunately for the devil, the resurrected 144,000 firstfruits will evade him because Jesus will take them up to God’s throne in heaven in his chariot, as explained in chapter three of Solomom’s mysterious Song (Song 3:6-11). Since the devil does not give up easily, he will follow the Lord Jesus and the 144,000 right into God’s temple, where he will enter God heavenly sanctuary and proclaim himself God in heaven. This is the event which triggers the war in heaven and the trampling of Jerusalem for 42 months (Revelation 12:7-17).
The presence of Satan in God’s holy temple in heaven, and not in the earthly Jerusalem temple, is what Daniel called the abomination that calls desolation. This is what Jesus referred to when he warned the Jews to flee out of Jerusalem immediately after they see this abomination, because it will appear in heaven and will be visible for all to see.
I will quote from the Book of Revelation as well as the Book of Mathew so we can compare the two events.
[Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. 4 Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. (Revelation 12:3-4)]
{So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’ spoken of through the prophet Daniel-let the reader understand- 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. (Mathew 24:15-16)}
The enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns, the very same devil who appears in heaven before the great tribulation, is what Jesus said would be seen as a sign for the Jews to immediately escape out of Jerusalem.
The appearance of the dragon in God’s holy temple is the event which will trigger the war in heaven. This is what Daniel called the abomination that causes desolation, an event which occurs in heaven simultaneously with the setting up of the image of the Antichrist in the earthly temple of Jerusalem. This is in fulfilment of the statement which Jesus gave about the spiritual effect in heaven, of what God’s people do here on earth.

@@vigilantchristian6314 The abomination that causes desolation is not Sunday worship for the simple reason that the abomination is a physical thing that must be seen by the Jews as a sign for them to flee from Jerusalem to the mountains to escape from the Antichristand his armies. Here is what Jesus said about this abomination.

The supposed third temple is the abomination of desolation.
@Bryan R Rivera God rent the temple curtain in two when His Son died as the Passover lamb that takes away the sin of the world and His Holy Spirit departed from the temple of stone made by the hands of man.
The Holy Spirit now dwells in the temple of God made up of living stones that He is shaping to fit together for eternity.
Show me where, anywhere in scripture where God has mandated that men should construct another temple!
Understand this and you will be one step closer to understanding what the "abomination of desolation" actually is.
The antichrist himself will be a part of the construction of the physical temple.
It is not of God!

Shiqquts analysis is describing the combination of components into a bio weapon, taking the throne in the temple inside us, inside our cells (sacs) the scale of the physiological component of spiritual warfare, how our flesh is living out death because of not being made holy WITHIN the image of God. M k ultra uses the corrupted image of man to control and destroy. It doesn't stand up to the power and divine nature of the incorruptible glory of God, if we so choose to diligently abide in it, and keep the night dark as intended.

I do wonder how no one sees Jesus in this. Let this be a testimony against Jesus. For he was the one who said he was one with God and to see him is to see God. The messiah is to save and lead the people and Jesus said that’s what he was sent to do. And yet God’s words about the messiah/servant is unknown to all followers! Like the fact that the messiah will have no followers until he is gone. Also no one will believe he is the messiah until the end. What about the fact that the false messiah will gain power with just a few followers and Jesus started with 12 followers? He will think himself above all gods and say unheard of things against God. All the “l am’s” from Jesus. There’s no hiding the facts lining up. Jesus and the false messiah are exactly alike! False messiah will do astounding things - Jesus did astounding things. The messiah will be despised and rejected of men. Jesus had thousands of people following him. Kids were not afraid to be near him, Women came to him for healing and listened to his words. Men followed him. Jesus was not despised and rejected until his death. For a day he was despised and rejected. How can people not see Jesus IS the false messiah?! He is the abomination!

The twelve disciples got annoyed at the crowds of people following them. But God himself testified that there is no one who listens to him. No one is there when he comes. When Jesus was born angels declared his birth to shepherd. People know of his birth and came to welcome him. Jesus was fully rejected on the night of his arrest. Yet the disciples held on to his teachings.

The old testament prophecies of his coming kingdom is for AFTER the global kingdom is destroyed. This is why the jews still reject him. They think he should have came in like a wealthy king.
