    I love how OP in the first story was hesitant to tell her friends about her feelings about Kevin because she was afraid they'd judge her, but she apparently wasn't worried about a bunch of strangers on Reddit judging her for it

      She thought that it would be safe to post it online since some strangers on the internet wouldn’t know her personally. But as we can see, that backfired hard

      Strangers don't know where you live or work and you don't see them everyday so in a sense it's better than opening up to friends. But she was still arguing with everyone and couldn't see reason. I think she was hoping for advice on how to get K instead of actual advice

    Honestly I think I know exactly why the kids in ops first story were being that way. Because imagine this if she’s as narcissistic, and psychotic and crazy as I think she is, she probably tried acting like the kids mom instead of a baby sitter and tried bossing them around and being generally rude. Right! I lowkey think that was her intentions. People that are obsessed do crazy things thinking it would flatter the person they've attached themselves to. In a twisted way, I think the idea was to show the guy that "yes, this is me and look at what I wrote. Look at how much I love you and want a beautiful life with you." Lol to us normal heads, it looks unhinged but to people like OP they think it's romantic.

      OP did not even earn the title stepmom in the first place. When Kevin entrusted OP to watch the kids, it does not mean babysit the kids. OP broke Kevin's trust. Plus let's be honest. OP says in her post that she makes three times what her husband does owns. The house has more money and they send a prenup. They agreed together to try for a child and have been actively trying for over a year. What exactly about that leads to her wanting to trap him? Not every insecurity that flits across your lizard brain is worth indulging in. And he didn't just indulge in it. He ran with it and went to Mexico. Can barely call this guy a man.

    • @LLandS18
      @LLandS18 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Also, he's allowed to be afraid of being a father. Of course you are. It's terrifying to become a parent. But what you're not allowed to do is accuse your wife of one of the worst things a person can do to someone that isn't an actual crime. And then when they don't automatically follow their knees and beg for forgiveness, you storm out of the house, allow your brother to verbally abuse them through text and only come back to apologize when Mommy makes you. So if this truly was he was just afraid to be a father. He should have had that conversation with his wife not make accusations.

It’s like those stories you hear about people reading about cheating spouses and become convinced their spouse is cheating and end up ruining their relationships.
      I feel like the husbands friend started rattling off about baby trapping and that mixed with the anxiety of being a new father and he just convinced himself of it as well and saw a way out. Which is horrible that it was so easy for him to loose any and all affection like that to begin with

As a psychologist the amount of people that think that therapy is some magic bullet that's going to make everyone forget how awful you treat them is craziness. A lot of times the outcome of therapy and marriage counselling is it's time for divorce it's time to move on. All marriage counselling does in a situation like this is beat a dead horse. And this so you got to give them a chance and you know people make mistakes and why people stay in a relationship that's toxic and abusive and manipulative and full of gaslighting. First Story: Wow, um ok. OP is crazy. I was questioning what she meant when she said "I don’t know if he has feelings for me yet"; in my head I was like 'um, what does she mean by that? This man is married and have kids.' Now, OP is talking about loving Kevin, saying she would love to be a step-mom, believes that they aren’t happy (somehow, the kids are "proof" of this), and is assuming that they will get a divorce. Even if they do get a divorce for whatever reason OP makes up in her head, what makes OP think that Kevin will go for her? OP's behavior is what will result in a restraining order being placed against her by Kevin and his family. Oh my god lmaoooo. I legit started laughing when I saw the part where Kevin sent the Reddit link 😂😂😂😂😂. Yooooo this story got even better. My suspecious were correct (shocking right?) Kevin does NOT have feelings for OP and this is all in her head. She brought this on herself. That gave me a good laugh
    Comment: I agree 100%. OP needs to seek a therapist or something because this behavior isn’t normal
    OP's Comment: Wooow OP is so delusional it is hilarious. Like I said in my comment, lets say they do get a divorce what makes OP think Kevin would go to her? That being said, I can safely assume Kevin does not have romantic feelings for OP. I feel like OP has some sort of trauma from her past relationship so bad that any man who is remotely nice to her she automatically catches feelings for them and then goes into this state.
    Second Story: Wow um ok. OP's husband don’t know the definition of baby trapping because this isn’t being baby trapped. The situation with his friend WAS a baby trap; this sounds like a mutual agreement to try for a baby. First off, MIL is an absolute legend; usually, most MILs would take the side of their kid before anyone else but thankfully this MIL is a smart woman and didn’t believe her son's bs. I agree, what he did is divorce worthy. Also, if this man was so scared to be a dad why did he agree to try for a baby in the first place??? Wow, OP's in laws are amazing; I really like how much they defended and supported OP throughout their son's mess ups. I find it hilarious how this man is crying and asking if OP is "really going to throw away their family like this" when HIS actions are the cause of him losing his family. Imagine accusing someone of baby trapping when you BOTH was trying for a baby for a year. He brought all of this on himself and it all could’ve been avoided if he stopped and think about things

    My conspiracy theory for the first story is is that the oldest daughter, maybe caught a vibe that OP was trying to be a homewrecker, so she purposefully convinced her sibling to go crazy so the younger one would go crazy as well and she acted like a rebellious teenager on purpose to scare OP away lol

    Last Story: The husband is definatly bonkers for implying babytrapping. I agree with OP that I would not want a partner that just leaves as soon as things get hard. But that also applies to OP. Not sure if instant divorce was “sticking around” when things get hard on her end either. Personally, would have gone to couples counceling first, especially because the marriage seemed to have been good otherwise. but yeah. Each their own.

      Agreed. Unless there's more that we're not being told, OP's husband having what was quite clearly a fight-or-flight response to th3 fears of fatherhood is not grounds for divorce.

    • @LLandS18
      @LLandS18 ปีที่แล้ว +10

      No, I don't think that I don't see why being in a relationship with someone who's going to accuse you of something so fundamentally awful is worth your time. He didn't just panic about fatherhood he accused her of some pretty toxic, pretty terrible behavior. That in Canada, in fact, is against the law and is a federal offense. And I'm pretty sure Canada isn't the only country. Paternity fraud messing with birth control those are serious serious things to accuse someone up. Not only did he accuse her, but he also got his brother to got him to harasser her. Instead of coming back and apologizing on his own, he had to be dragged there like an odd toddler by his mummy. This is more than just we're going through a rough patch. This is mental abuse, and this is gas-lighting. They both agreed to have this child they've been in a relationship for 7 years. He's using the excuse of I was afraid to be a father for his deplorable behavior. Being afraid of Parenthood and scared of the responsibility that comes with it is a normal thing, and it's completely understandable. What this guy did was not. Just so you're aware, you don't have to stay in a relationship with someone if you don't want to. No reason is reason enough not to be in a relationship with someone.

    • @LLandS18
      @LLandS18 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @Amy McLean yeah but this wasn't just fear fatherhood this was accusing her of some pretty terrible things. Also couple counselling isn't going to fix everything. People need to stop thinking that therapies a Magic Bullet that's going to fix everything. I work in Psychology and sometimes even with therapy the best result is to divorce walk away or leave the situation. No amount of therapy is going to wash away the memories of him accusing her of some awful awful things. Then allowing his brother to continue the harassment. And only coming back to apologize when his mummy made him. No amount of counselling is going to fix that. No amount of counselling is going to make her lose those memories. She knows what she can get over and what she can't. And she doesn't owe an explanation to you or me or him or anyone else. And the fact that his mother agrees with her should tell you a lot about the situation.

      i agree. like yes she has every right to leave him, and the revenge part of me loves that she did, but the guy seems like not the brightest bulb. He probably listened to his friend's strife so much he projected it and made an idiotic rash mistake-- and which does NOT make it okay-- but there's still coming back from it if he truly feels sorry, etc.
      There's lines that should never be crossed, but they're different for everyone-- clearly that was too far for OP and i respect that. I guess I just personally feel like, assuming everything besides that in their relationship was good (Like a fairytale she said), with seven years of marriage and a baby on the way, it'd be worth it to at least *see* if he was willing to put in the effort to redeem himself and rectify his mistakes. But OP didn't want to take a chance of being hurt more, which I also totally get. Like you said, each their own.

According to OP, however, he didn't even genuinely apologize for his mental breakdown, so I can empathize. She and their daughter were collateral and apologizing bare minimum. I understand having doubts about being a good father. I also understand about not having your fears validated and feeling shamed when you expressed them especially if you cannot articulate your what your emotions are at the moment. What I dont understand is once you realize yiu made a mistake, why don't he grovel? Ask her wifes forgiveness. Instead he went accused her of "throwing their relationship". And OP said they were friends before they got married.. To me means they are used to talkung to each other with out judgement.. But from turn after turn he is making the wrong steps.
    I agree with OP. If the husband bulks at the idea of this very big responsibility, would he "panic" again if he deemed himself not ready? He would have to gain OPs trust all over again. Chocolates and crying wont do it.

    The ego on this woman to think that the only way these kids could hate her in a divorce is if the mother poisoned them against her and not the fact that she’s the other woman. Also, the fact that she thinks the mother would do that shows to me that OP lacks the grace and compassion to keep children out of marriage problems since she’s projecting on the mother. OP even acknowledges how easy it would be for the kids to hate her since she’s trying to sleep with a married man

    Damn, that last story was a little extreme. I mean he panics because he isn't sure he's ready and he loses his family because of it? Man.
    But at the same time I see her side of it, and if she feels detached from the situation as his wife, that isn't something you usually come back from.
    Tough break man

    • @Art_museum28
      @Art_museum28 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don’t see his side at all. He “panicked” by accusing his pregnant wife of baby trapping him for no other reason than it happened to his friend, nothing she did. If he was worried and scared, he should’ve sat her down and talked to her. He didn’t. He unfairly accused his wife, used her shock and confusion as justification for his behavior and ditched her. He didn’t lose his family because his panicked. Heck, he only started actually apologizing at the meeting, when he found out the gender of his baby. He lost them because he acted like a coward and abandoned his wife

    • @jdzspace33
      @jdzspace33 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @Art_museum28 his response was bad. Nobody is saying it wasn't, but it was also very human. He didn't "abandon" anyone. He ran away and hid because he panicked.
      It's not like he packed up his house, refused to pay bills, and left, THAT'S abandoning his wife. You could say he emotionally abandoned her in that moment, which is horrible, but it's still not so horrible that a man should lose his entire family over a weak moment.
      The punishment doesn't fit the crime at all.
      But like I said, if she felt disconnected, that's tough to come back from for a full-grown man. Never mind a guy who clearly has some growing up and maturing to do.
      I agree with you in how he should've handled it, but not handling it like that shouldn't mean you lose everything forever.
      That's just too much

    • @Art_museum28
      @Art_museum28 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jdzspace33
      1. That IS abandonment
      2. Not only did he run away to his parents, he tried to turn them against OP
      3. His panic doesn’t mean he accuse his wife of doing awful stuff to hurt him
      4. If his response to being panicked about being a father is to accuse his wife of baby trapping, why should OP stick around
      5. OP’s trust is broken. She can’t trust him to communicate with her, to entrust him with a safe area to talk to, and she can’t trust that he won’t just slander unfairly do extended family when he’s panicked
      The punishment fits the crime. She can’t trust him as her husband anymore and that’s his fault. It’s human for her to not want to be with a man who just accuses her of hurting him with a baby he didn’t consent to having (when this is a baby they tried having for a year)

    • @jdzspace33
      @jdzspace33 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @Art_museum28 I don't disagree with anything you said. From her perspective, everything you said is spot on.
      And I agree with everything you said about him, but the distinction is that he is a young guy, clearly immature, and he made a mistake.
      I don't want to undersell it, but I've the course of a marriage, 10 years from now, both of them would tell that story and laugh at it.
      To throw it all away, when you have a new family, that's just excessive, IMO.
      If he was violent, cheating, or crossed any of those lines, I would be right there with you 100%.
      But to throw everything away when it was clearly an immature reaction that once he grows up probably isn't going to repeat, it just feels like a little much.
      I hope that once he grows up a bit, she gives him a chance to fight for his family.

    • @Art_museum28
      @Art_museum28 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jdzspace33 She DID give him a chance, by waiting until the meeting for him to make a move. This was his mess to clean up and he just made a bigger storm
      In all honesty, it doesn’t even sound like this was a mistake. It feels like he was trying to weasel his way out of his marriage while making OP look bad and used what happened to his friend as his way of doing so. None of the whatever excuses he has or his age changes the fact that he abandoned his wife alone and went off to slander her to his family. Heck, the fact he was trying to slander her to his family but only stopped because of his mom is grounds for leaving him. It’s not fair that you’re saying she should give him another chance just because of his excuses and the fact he didn’t cheat on or abuse her. He still betrayed her even if it wasn’t with someone else. He still hurt her, even if he didn’t get physical. He still did wrong and cross a huge line. He accused his wife of doing something horrible to him when she did nothing wrong and tried to throw her name into the mud.
      He isn’t even sorry. His first response to hearing he was going to have a daughter was to act like his wife would just magically forgive him. The fact he’s not taking her feelings into account proves he’s not really sorry. The fact he’s only apologizing after hearing the gender of the baby and his wife saying she doesn’t want him home proves he’s not sorry.
      He’s not even genuinely sorry and even if he was, he can’t make this right. This was too big of a betrayal
