Very professional and thorough review video. Many other reviews I've watched haven't really grasped the features of the car but you sound like you've really done your homework. 👍 Couple of things with our Premium 64kwh version. It has the heated steering wheel that you say only the Ultimate has. Plus the tight rear leg room is due to the extra front leg room. We also have a Nissan Leaf and the Kona is far more comfortable for taller drivers. The seat goes back further in the Kona which means the rear leg room is less. Bringing the seat forward to the same room as the Leaf means the rear leg room is about the same. We are absolutely over the moon with ours. The Misty Jungle colour is absolutely amazing, and the range is fantastic. It's on course to do 290 miles this month and that's in the middle of winter. It's a huge step up from the old Leaf and thoroughly recommended.
I’ve just taken delivery of my Kona 64 kw Top spec. ( December 21 ) And I love it . Amazing car above my expectations in every way. The only Downside is the waiting time. If you want this car as from December 21 it takes between 5/9 months wait for the car. That said it’s well worth the wait.
We were very lucky with ours and the dealership had already ordered for stock the exact one that we wanted. So from test driving one to a brand new 64kwh one being sat on my driveway was 2 weeks. 😁
@@CarandDrivingCarReviews I have seen a number of more recent reviews as SWMBO preferred sitting in our old 64kWh Kona to the Tesla Model 3LR we currently have, and, I wanted to see how it's come on since 2019 when we got it. I shall be at a Hyundai dealer tomorrow and will buy a 64kWh Kona Ultimate if the salesman ( I know it's a bloke) offers me a deal I can't refuse.
I picked up the 2022 Kona EV Preffered model for 41 K Canadian funds. Worth the money and very affordable. I charge at home once a week and love this EV.
I have a test drive in one of these booked tomorrow. Planning to replace my Nissan Leaf and this looks like a possible alternative. Thanks for the very thorough review.
New subby and great video and I do own a 71 kuna your very professional and the video covers nearly everything. Your video does touch some menses but the hard settings. Ie; when I turn oh the key what does the car do .. so many settings.
Is there still an issue with the UK recall for the Hyundai Kona battery? I've been reading quite a few reports about this and wondered if the issue has been resolved or if it is still ongong. Hyundai, according to the reports, are not dealing at all well with this issue. Any info on this would be appreciated.
I reckon the 64kwh version is more powerful, but the torque is about the same between the two versions, so im guessing the 39kwh is still’pretty nippy ?

Are you planning to do a video like this on the new mg zs EV at all?
How long does it take for one of these been built in the factory and delivered to uk
Where can we charge this though? Why does no review cover this important topic?
hi from december 2024, great review as were looking to buy a 2nd hand one here in australia so thanks
Great to hear
Thanks for this great review. Im confused however: did you try the 64 or 39 kwh?
Thank you! It was the 39kWh version we tested. Our pre-facelift model film was on the 64kWH version.
I reckon the 64kwh version is more powerful, but the torque is about the same between the two versions, so im guessing the 39kwh is still’pretty nippy ?
Thanks a lot for the nice review.
Glad it was helpful!
Hi does a electric car lose power when left for 2weeks
It's all the ancillary bits that are still on in the background all the time.
Nice ev.
They still don’t have it in any dealer in nyc until today
No mention of its other contender - the Kia Soul

Excellent, very comprehensive review. Thank you.
