    1 Insufficient research
    2 Lack of clarity and understanding and controversy- does something actually work, are the findings insignificant
    3 Point out limitations of previous studies
    4 Unresolved real world problems

    • @AcademicEnglishNow

      They're very different. In the second actually a lot of research has probably already been done. However, its results are conflicting or unclear

    Can you give us the full definition each of this gap? so we can know their full detail.... example this gap. empirical gap, knowledge gap, evidence gap, theoretical gap, population gap, application or implementation gap, and methodology gap. I hope if you see this.

    hello, sir can you please tell me any tips on how to identify gaps for a totally new model. although all the used variables are treated before but as a model not treated yet, nor suggested by any study. now should I write it in the proper way to defend myself? thankyou in advance.

    • @AcademicEnglishNow
      @AcademicEnglishNow  ปีที่แล้ว

      Perhaps show limitations of the previous models to argue they are inadequate

    HOPING YOU CAN REVISE THIS RESEARCH GAP PROFESSOR 🙌
    As presented in the following literature review section, many research studies have investigated the positive and negative effects of gadgets exposure to the students. However, the nature of how parents control the students in gadgets exposure remains unclear.
    The purpose of this study is to find out houw students handle the positive and negative impacts of gadgets exposure and how do parets deal with the students in controlling the gadgets exposure. This project provided an important opportunity to advance the understanding of putting limitations in terms of using gadgets.

    Hello I am new to research. So before coming up with a topic, a research gap must be identified first?

  • @matthewleitch1
    @matthewleitch1 ปีที่แล้ว

    Isn't it better to focus on the value of your study? Doesn't have to be a 'gap' specifically because you might be replicating something or trying to correct a past research error. Just because nobody has done a particular study in the past does not mean that it is worth doing now. Perhaps it isn't useful and that is why nobody has bothered in the past.

    • @AcademicEnglishNow
      @AcademicEnglishNow  ปีที่แล้ว

      Some good points. I guess if you're replicating, you might be doing it in a slightly different context. Say something has been shown to work with a group of adolescents in X region, but we don't know if it would also work in another region. So that's a research gap. If you're improving on limitations of previous studies, that's also a research gap I discussed in the video.
