(Enable closed captions) YES!! I'm happy to report that the 'ol Charade G11 aka "Mighty Mouse" is back in action folks! And all it took was a bit of sucking....
Before you let your crazy imaginations run-riot, remember what I said about the fuel returning back to the tank and unable to get to the carb? Well, the AC Pump wasn't the issue, and all it took was to get the juices 'flowing' again, the old skool way.
After she started up, I drove her directly to a car wash, and then to Kenzone where a full check was done, and guess what? All was okay, no fluid levels dropped and even the aircon was still cold! I'm thoroughly amazed by this car, really, what a trooper!! :)

My carburetted Civic SH4 has difficulty to start after sitting for too long. Like what Chris said , the fuel in carburettor flow back to the tank (or evaporated 🤔) left the carburettor bone dry. Instead of pouring petrol into the carburettor, I use the blow torch gun that attaches to those gas canister for portable cooking stove. Point the blow torch to the air inlet hole and turn on the gas (without igniting it) and try to start the engine, works everytime. This allow my engine to run temporary on "NGV" and works the AC pump to pump petrol into carburettor. After about 20 second, the gas can be turn off and the engine will continue to run on petrol.

Hi Bro, where is the Mighty Mouse now after your video update 6 months ago? I also have a Daihatsu Charade G11 (1983 model) and keep this vintage car's engine running almost everyday, hoping that it will not "kong" out one day 😂. Maintenance is really quite straight forward unlike today new cars which used a lot of technology that old school car enthusiasts considered them overkilled features 😅.

Change oil filter also bro. Probably got clogged there abit. Another alternative, open the round carburetor thing and use throttle body spray. It will run enough to get oil filter changed.
