Cant wait to fish Tenkara style, in the Ardennes of Belgium,,, I am a Dutch guy,fed up with traditionnel flyfishing, needing to have a thousand different lines to flyfish. ....Greetings from Holland, Europe!
@@tenkararodco in the white mountain region, it's pretty much year round. The Sedona area is in spring and fall. The southern part of the state is in winter.
@@tannerflake163 exactly! It looks fun and I can't wait! I fished it with traditional gear and it was sort of aggravating. I'm sure tenkara is the ticket!🎣🎣
Hey Brandon! If I had to give the Rocky rod a weight it would land somewhere in the 6-8 range. Just because catching small fish on them isn't that fun. But it can handle bigger trout, salmon, carp, bass, bonefish, snapper, basically any bigger or stronger fish.
Really all depends on whats happening on the water. We'll NEVER pass up a chance to throw big dry flies to rising fish. But there are plenty of times when the reverse hackle wet flies are way more effective and we'll throw those.
Wild place to wake up is right! Awesome video guys👍👍👍

@@tannerflake163 when I say "traditional" I mean ultra-light spinning rod and reel.
Which rods are you guys using?
We were putting the Rocky rod to the test in Patagonia.
Thinking of getting a rocky... what weight fly rod would you guys say this is comparable to?

Where are you guys? Outside Pucon, towards the Argentina border?
Ya not too far from there! We stayed in Argentina the whole time.
👍👍👍
Amazing clip !!! Is the catch rate on Tenkara better than conventional fly gear ?
It can be, it really depends on the situation. Out here, we found Tenkara to be more effective. Both ways of fishing can their advantages.
What brand is that multicolor hip pack?
Its an old discontinued Topo Designs pack. But we have something in the works currently to watch out for!
@@tenkararodco great! I was scouring the net yesterday trying to find it.
😆👍
Do you guys use regular flies more often than the traditional reverse hackle?
