Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it is amazing, I love Giant bikes, still have my 90’s CFM2, and lost to a crash my CFR2, sure is too $$$ for my almost retired budget, but I’ll dream about owning one
Oh to dream of a new fast bike. Maybe for pro athletes but for this old 63 year old triathlete my LOOK 695 is going to have to do. I'm still figuring out a way to convince the wife I need a direct drive trainer with Zwift. Unless Cadex wants to sponsor me in my next tri? LOL. Good video, keeps me dreaming.
I racked up right next to Matt Bottrill at his first duathlon where he proceeded to run a 19m37s first 5k, smash the bike course record by about 3mins I think it was, incidentally, this was on the roads right near where this video is filmed (noticed the signs on my old training roads!).
@@timvanmonero2720 which model of aero coach in front because probably i will look for it too ? I am really happy with the comfort and the sensations of this amazing bike
I'm sure the aero engineering is great, and if you're a pro looking for the absolute smallest margin like Blu than this is great. But as a random athelete.. man is it ugly, and for that much money the new Felt, Cannyon speedmax or even Cube would be all be something I chose first they are so much more exciting to look at.
Hello, I checked out there website and was wondering what the CM size was for the L frame bike. I was a little surprised that they made an XXS but not an XL...has anyone seen where on the website was the geometry listing of the bike?
I don't get why ppl think it's an ugly bike. Looks sick as hell to me. The absence of top tube avoids unnecessary wind turbulence. Ppl who design Tri bikes with no seat tube are plain ridiculous. The only thing I don't get is why the front tire and down tube gap isn't minimised?
Fugly bike. Not sure it is good advertising for Cadex' god awful bike that Gustav rides a standard Trinity. It is good marketing for the Trinity, as it is still one of the fastest bikes out there.
Why as the Lotus bike that Boardman rode to over 56km more that current hour record isn't used today in non UCI races like Tri by pros? Currently it could be made lighter with current carbon and you could get in a better aero position ie superman?
1) Ganna just beat Boardman's record on a UCI legal bike 2) The "economics" of a non-UCI legal, for triathletes only bike isn't really feasible for most bike makers. CADEX can probably do it only because it's a part of GIANT.
600-800mls fluid storage... race ready for Ironman. Nope, 2 800mls bottles will absultly need be added to the saddle. 1 would need to be triple strength solution to mix with on course water. Total then covering the minimum hydration requirements.
This explanation tells me nothing. When asked why they eliminated the top tube he talks about storage. There are plenty of bikes with tons of storage that has a top tube. I don’t see anything special about the bike in terms of adjustability relative to many other comparable bikes. I’m not saying the bike isn’t unusual without a reason, but this explanation doesn’t teach me anything.
And a top tube adds zero drag, makes the frame last longer by adding structural strength, reduces weight by not having to over-beef the BB and downtube, gives you a place to mount stuff like race profile, and even gives you makeshift handle to pick the bike up with. Optimizing or removing things that are vertical (drag) is smart, but removing handy things that add strength and function that also have zero drag impact is double derp.
The Cadex wheels are top notch. Unfortunately, so is the price. But this bike is ... instead of the old trinity really, really ugly. It may be fast, but as long as my modified Cervelo P2 Rim with P3-Fork and Vision Metron-Cockpit is competitive in bigger time trials and duathlons - well i wont buy such an in my eyes ugly bike. Although: the fork seems to be clever designed and so on, but the frame... uuuuh. Also, it seems to me that a frame without a top tube is quite dangerous in crosswinds or fast descents. You have no steering support from your legs when you corner hard or swerve in a strong crosswind. But yes, maybe I'm wrong on that point. The problem with all these new disc brake bikes is that you can't just change the frame, you have to buy all the wheels new. If you have a large collection of good low and high profile wheels, including a disc wheel for the back (disc, not disc brake), the reinvestment would be quite high, especially in covid times and in these crazy war times.
Would you ride this? 🔥
For sure I would ..
No, definitely not
Yeeee all day long 😂😂
Yes but I wouldn’t buy it.
SO NOT A GIVEAWAY??? :(
Blu's biggest flex is winning the world Champs on a NYC citi bike
I’m joining my first triathlon with a fixed gear bike.
I recently did the same. Took me FOREVER, had to walk up a few portions of the course, but it was fun. Make sure to bring double the water and gels.
are they legal in a triathlon?
@@savagepro9060 depends on which race organization. Lifetime’s triathlon allows single gear as long as it’s not fixed.
@@EK-ej3ll that's what I was talking about -->> FIXED gearing, damn! That would've been a thing🤣
For USA triathlon fixed is illegal.

Functionality always wins and this bike looks great.
THIS BIKE IS AMAZING. Excited to see the many athletes tackling KONA. Go Kristian
Probably my most anticipated video
Wow! Hope you you enjoyed it? 🙌
Also This needs to be tested against a regular UCI TT bike ….. GCN v GTN 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Sounds a great vid idea - we'll see what we can do 🤔

Amazing interviews! Congratulations GTN!
Thanks!
Please make a most detailed video about the cervelo P5X.
Love so much that design
Yeah, Vids 'bout all the special ones like Softride, Lotus, Hotta, Cat, Dimond, P3X, Diamondback, P5X, Ventum and Ceepo Shadow-R.
I know Matt Bottrill's favourite word. Like, there's like no doubt in my mind 📈
Cadex, let me know if you need an amateur to test it for you 🙂
It has disc brakes so it accelerates well ?????
Hahahahahahahaaa, fuk I spat spit through my ears
Well, braking is one kind of acceleration, a negative one😂
OMG wow great video…….. lucky Mark aren’t ya……. Poor Ollie be like 🤤🤤🤤
Thanks :) What height is Mark and what size frame was he riding?
I'm a roadie over here on the QT from GCN. Thats a cool bike and the video was awesome, is there a rim brake version? LOL I'm kidding.
Can’t wait for the ‘Hot Tech’ videos coming up having twice as many athletes in kona this year
Love the return of wacky bikes designed for triathlon.
Most importantly, you don't have to worry about flashing people your undies because it's a step through.
Might only be super with Blu on it..
I order my new cadex tri frame with zipp 858 excited to start to ride
me too, but with aerocoach in front and roval disc in back. this bike is 🔥🔥

The only thing I like about it is that there is no top tube so it is very easy to mount or dismount
I like it. It’s different but if it can be fast, and save the legs for the run, then what’s not to like?

Phenomenal!
How heavy is this crazy machine
So the sales rep highly recommends it...lol
The Blumdozer!!!!!!!
So when will it be available for sale.
as soon as you sell one of your kidneys
I never want to do an Ironman, but if I did I’d want to rent this bike to do it. Even though it’s ugly that downtube is so functional and smart.
Renting a bike for an event like an Ironman is a terrible idea😂
i need to buy that. how does it compare against a speedmax?
bought it. huge.
he also changed the back wheel for kona
need one
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Hardest sales pitch I seen for a while
Seriously, this is a hard sell. It's quite painful.
Successful Sub 7 attempt? Sure, but the CADEX team got absolutely destroyed by the Team Skipper/Team Wattshop guys on the bike leg 😂
Two spokes are too few. Four spokes are too many, as determined three decades ago. BUT the width the front fork may make up for it.
Yet Mavic's 5 spoke wheel is very fast...
"You know like...."🤣🤣🤣
That’s cool and all but my flat bar commuter 9 speed …..
the future is motorised hydration straws....with bluetooth of course
what about bike weight?)))

6999 Euro for the naked Frame? Only after I won the lottery. 😮
Bike is good, but there are better things to spend 7k on, mate. Save your money, lol.
it looks so awful 🥴 the only thing it is missing is a flowery basket on the handlebar.
Basket is an optional extra - £2999.99 with free delivery
So basically copy of my shiv disc without top tube…

As always: Bikes with propitiatory parts are NEVER future-proof . . . they BLING you into submission, buyer beware!
Then buy a slow bike. The fastest bikes are naturally never future proof if you buy it to have one of the fastest bikes.
"it has disc brakes so it accelerates fast"......mhm
This is the ugliest bike in the world...I wouldn't ride it even if it was the fastest...which it's not
Pretty it is not IMO, but who cares if it is fast and practical.
It might be fast, but it looks terrible.
don't be shy, say it, it is fkin UGLY
With all of this being said, still the ugliest looking tri bike out there. I’m trying to like it. But I can’t.
This is actually an ugly bicycle but it appears that the technology is genius
It's literally the ugliest bike I've ever seen. But it's fast!
