Haechan was a star in every single song. Ik people talk a lot about him already, but nobody talks about how his voice fits these genres best!!!! This was actually when the graduation system was still in place so it wasn’t just that Mark was gone, but that Haechan, Jeno, Renjun, and Jaemin were all expecting to leave too after this album. It was a really hard time for all of them since the group was essentially splitting up. Haechan has 127 but the other members had no idea what was going to happen to them afterwards so they were really emotional during their first concert that year as that was supposed to be their last time promoting as Dream together (before SM woke up and got rid of the graduations system).
My favorite off this album is "Bye My First," too! It's tied to "My First and Last" along with another song from the Reload Album titled "Love Again" which I think you will also love very much! It's sort of a first love trilogy. The lyrics of each songs references to the song/s before them. It's great storytelling.

Officially my favorite comebacks of all in the history of kpop lol. The album is perfect. The title track is perfect. The whole era was perfect. I know boom wasn't everyone's cup of tea and there was some backlash because of the styling and Chenle's braids, but I couldn't even pay attention to the visual aspects of it because I fell in love with the song and the meaning. The whole comeback is about them growing up and looking back. It's like a letter to their younger selves and it's so beautiful. As much as Mark was missing, they proved that even without him (their original leader and guide, which Jeno then took as his role) they're such a strong group. I remember seeing them perform the song with him for the first time and he fit in so easily I barely realized. It takes a lot to form such a strong bond, but if anyone nct dream truly has it. No matter what they decide to do in the future they'll do it right, because they listen and learn from each other.
Yeah, it was a painful time in some ways but I do think they grew through the adversity and reaching to grow. Growing up is always hard and some things need to be left behind, but it is also so good to see them take that next step

Boom is my favorite dream album...every song is a masterpiece...my second favorite is the reload album... These two were the the best times for dream.. Every member shined and got enugh lines to showcase their talent... We got to hear more of Nomin's rap especially jeno... His rap really surprised me and jisung was amazing as well and it was around that time when his voice became more mature and it was the best addition to dreams sound... Lele and renjun got more lines and haechan shined even brighter... He even got to rap and show more of his talent.... I just love these two eras so much

When the mini album came out in 2019, i managed to convert my close friends into this nct cult LOL and we used to go to karaoke and sing Best Friend and just play the mini album on the background whenever we hung out together or working on our thesis. Now that we've graduated college we're not even in the same island anymore. I miss them ;~;

I always saw people recommending stronger, and when i listened to it initially i was like meh it's ok. But it started playing one time during a random playlist and I found myself grooving along to it. So it's a grower for me.

MFAL talks about doing your best so your first is succesful, Bye My First talks about how love can be hard, specially when you're young and immature, and Love Again talks about going back to that person falling in love with them again, and how an old feeling becomes a new one after some time apart! The lyrics for Love Again directly references MFAL and BMF, so it would be good if you could read the lyrics again before reacting to Reload!!

Boom is my favorite dream album...every song is a masterpiece...my second favorite is the reload album... These two were the the best times for dream.. Every member shined and got enugh lines to showcase their talent... We got to hear more of Nomin's rap especially jeno... His rap really surprised me and jisung was amazing as well and it was around that time when his voice became more mature and it was the best addition to dreams sound... Lele and renjun got more lines and haechan shined even brighter... He even got to rap and show more of his talent.... I just love these two eras so much

When the mini album came out in 2019, i managed to convert my close friends into this nct cult LOL and we used to go to karaoke and sing Best Friend and just play the mini album on the background whenever we hung out together or working on our thesis. Now that we've graduated college we're not even in the same island anymore. I miss them ;~;
