The running animation of Jerry is incredible for an nes game. It did come out in 91 so that’s probably why it looks so good. Based on your play though, I’d say the game is a solid 6.5 or 7 out of 10. Which for a nes game, anything above average is worth playing usually.
As a kid, in the 80s, I loved the Tom and Jerry cartoon but I absolutely hated this game when it came out. That said, I enjoyed watching you play it and for some reason found it hilarious to hear you say "mouse hole". I'm secretly a 50yr old child. Thanks for the playthrough, you are a NES Jedi master.
@retronate Correct! Capcom had solid Disney games. Darkwing Duck, Rescue Rangers and I saw you did DuckTales. Those games were so fun...but challenging. Darkwing I remember being tough.

@ no brother, not a game. Blightown is an area from Dark Souls 1. It’s a famously twisted and tricky platforming labyrinth full of brutal enemies -just like the house where Jerry apparently lives!

I would have been stuck on that 1st level for ages if I played this as a kid. The mouse hole you go into to exit the level just looks like a background shadow.

Tom and Jerry used to straight-up do Fatalities on each other, which inspired the parody Itchy and Scratchy. They might be cute, but they should be guest kharacters in Mortal Kombat.

I was born in 2000s and this was possibly my first ever nes game I played. For the past 24 years I still can never get past world 1. The game is not good.
@ I loved your Friday the 13th video and nightmare on elm street. I grew up playing those and I have beat them both back in the day but never cared for them. I love Zelda 2. I have planned out my long run to play it perfectly and have done a no death run and got to palace 2 with sword 5 magic 4 and health 4.

Tom and Jerry for the NES looks like a cute and fun game. The visuals look faithful to the cartoon. Sort of reminds me of Tiny Toons.
