    Thank you. These videos are a great help to me as a complete Intune beginner. Greetings from Belgium.

    Great video guys! Just an update though on the User/System installation option. System is now available for the Inbox Apps and only lets you uninstall apps via the System context. User context fails now with "Access Denied". At least for AADJ devices...

    As far as future videos for the new store/winget it would be really good to see how we could create a list of apps that can auto-update, but when the update happens it checks and prompts the user to close the app before updating each one (or a list of what has to be closed based on installed apps not on new version). Or other fine grain control on the updates that you can think of.

    How to stop push notifications to download suggested apps. I just need teams and outlook on my system but i keep getting push notifications for other apps and in times of emergency calls it becomes really annoying to cancel them before you can use your phone.

    Hi Guys, great video, works for most of it. However, I am unable to add "Microsoft Solitaire Collection" to the new store using this method? It doesn't like the app ID and search no results. Have you found a way, then can you please share. Much appreciate. Thanks

    Great, I get to go through the list again. It's the only thing I regret, that they couldn't transfer your apps from legacy to new. Would save a lot of people some precious time.
    Can consumer Teams be uninstalled this way?
    And that'll teach me for commenting before the end, now I get to edit it to say: I always stick to the end, or maybe I skip to the end?

    Tried this method with Xbox whatwver and Skype on windows 10. No joy of uninstalling. It reports as it did it though. Any ideas?

    Some questions:
    1. What about using the Powershell script that's included with the Intune's "Deploy Windows 10 and later in cloud configuration" guided setup, that removes all apps and then include the ones you need?
    2. If using this remove all apps script, what happens when installing a feature update? Could the provisioned apps re-install?
    3. There are two versions of this script, with or without MS Store. Do I have to use the script which includes MS Store to keep the apps added to Intune updated?
    4. Is Powershell scripts invoked only one time, or on every restart of a device?

    Anyone have any ideas why making a new Store app as available in Company Portal
    , doesn't appear in Company Portal for Hybrid joined devices but displays fine on AADJ devices? (NO filter applied)

    • @ericeric4097
      @ericeric4097 ปีที่แล้ว

      Might be store setting coming from GPO for hybrid devices but manually changed store settings via reg and still won't show new store apps in CP

    I don’t if you are going to see this but I hope you do. To get windows hybrid Azure AD joined devices sync or show in intune do I need SSO? Or AzureAdPRT= yes

    • @IntuneTraining
      @IntuneTraining  ปีที่แล้ว

      To get into Intune, there’s an Intune enrollment profile that you flip on to enroll AAD devices into Intune.

    This method doesn't work well with Autopilot. The App removal jobs don't typically kicking till after about 5-20mins after the user has signed in and beside some of the Apps are not on the new store so inadvertently you still need a script.

    • @IntuneTraining
      @IntuneTraining  ปีที่แล้ว

      Set them to required in the ESP and they will run before the user gets to the desktop. Which apps aren’t there? The only one I know of is Teams home.

    Ok, so how do you Install an app as "System"?

    • @Hans-gb4mv
      @Hans-gb4mv ปีที่แล้ว

      Right now? You don't, not if you install it from the store. That's always under user context. If you need to install it under system, you will have to go for an offline installer and package it yourself, and keep it up to date yourself, something they also should make easier.

    • @IntuneTraining
      @IntuneTraining  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have been using the Offline version from the business store for System apps and it works fine. No need to repackage. However when the business store goes away, it would be great if they add System support for the new store. Today you can only install for users.

  • @Strausy
    @Strausy ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Fun fact, even if you go through all the trouble of refunding the Microsoft Store for Business app now, it won't sync back to Intune and remove it from your Intune Apps list. Microsoft Support says "its a bug" and refuses to fix it because MSfB is deprecated.

    • @nebraskayak7632
      @nebraskayak7632 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just got the same bad news from Microsoft store support. Kind of ridiculous. I have spent days refunding and syncing to no avail. At least you can filter out old MS store apps from your list in Intune.

    • @IntuneTraining
      @IntuneTraining  ปีที่แล้ว

      Good info to know. Haven’t tried the refund process in a bit. Ideally they just disappear eventually but sure would be nice to clean up the mess.

    • @IntuneTraining
      @IntuneTraining  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. Though you may want to switch to the new System context version of the apps - wasn’t available when we made this video. Also we have found that enabling the policy to allow store app updates seems to assist with making this work as well.
