I think the Mom was a weak person to begin with and had no support from anywhere. I think even if she had fought she would NEVER gotten custody. Both the courts and the father were against her. My ex gf let her new husband beat my 7yo daughter for years (in a far away town), when I found out it took 2 yrs of court battles and CYPs cases to get her out of there so her nanny could raise her, she's now 25 and has grown to be a lovely and caring mother to her own children, I'm so proud of her. 😥
