Thanks for making things fun and interesting! I tend to stick with the channels that do it for the enjoyment and eventually burn out watching the algorithm chasing ones. Now let's try that landing AGAIN!
What I really love is your journalistic approach. Your interviews and analysis for me are way beyond anyone else in that respect. I watch you more than any other KSP youtuber now. Thanks for all the hard work!
Hi Shadow, I really appreciated this video because your lessons from a decade of work on TH-cam is a literal goldmine for me and my tiny KSP channel. Keep it up man 🎉
Hey congrats for the 10 years! I think I started watching your videos around 2018 when I started playing KSP so now that I think about it that's 5 years from now. Time sure flies by. Btw, I credit you for increasing my enjoyment of KSP by a big margin. I discovered I'm a builder type kind of player and your SPH and VAB tips and tricks video really boosted my enjoyment. Here's to more years!
Happy youtubeversary! Oddly enough, you're the only one KSP youtubers that I still follow, mostly because of your delivery style, and, ofcourse, "AGAIN!" :D
Fantastic video (as always) with great advice for new creators. I would agree with every word dude and certainly everything about starting a channel as it's all things I've found along the way. Here's to your next 10 years🎉
I like at 2:41when he said 'it wouldn't be', the video behind flashes...AGAIN! Word on the state of the Internet. I ran a BBS when I was a kid in the 80's and was on MUDs and MUSEs in the early 90's and remember when Google was the new guy while AltaVista and Yahoo! were the big guys. I miss that too....sure it was harder to find stuff and get around, but that was half the fun.
I miss MUDs sometimes, though I didn't find it easy to find one to my taste. Maybe I'll read more Pratchett and join that Discworld MUD. Did you ever play that MUD with real-time moving spaceships? I had a look at it, but my brain couldn't make sense of the ASCII representation of the moving view/objects/whatever it was. It would have been better if it was on Telstar with its sixels -- the Teletext sixels not the DEC ones Wikipedia covers. There's a bit of a Telstar renaisance going on right now. There's a client in the all-platforms BBC BASIC for SDL.
@@eekee6034 well, I didn’t do too many. I spent most of my time in a BattleTech MUSE hosted in Sweden. It was based on the year 3056, IIRC. I was in Clan Smoke Jaguar and I piloted mostly recon mechs. It was pretty wild. It was pretty close to real time. You had to have a good special sense to keep up though.
@@eekee6034 It was a cool idea but the lag monster would catch us if we had too many folks playing. Nowadays I'm sure an average desktop could host a few hundred without an issue but who wants to play a text based real time combat game? (raises hand...I do....I will play that again.)
Thank you for a lot of great content ShadowZone. I've been following you a lot longer than I've subscribed. Always liked you KSP content a lot. Keep up the good work!!
Great job. Keep up the good work. Just make sure not to put spoilers in the thumbnails like Matt did many times. Example: KSP easter eggs. I don't really blame him but it's better not to see in a thumbnail things we haven't discovered yet.
What a weird coincidence. My TH-cam channel (different account) got 6 years old today. So it's 4 years and 1 day younger. And whats more, I make videos about Spaceflight Simulator. Happy tenth aniversary. 🎉
Haha! You and me both. My nephews had Pogs -- the game -- and told me it had been around forever, but it missed me entirely. I had marbles and conkers. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@@awilliams1701 I pro'ly should have said that I had really never heard of it when my nephews told me about it and they thought it was a game everyone knew. It was a weird moment. :D
I've been here since the beginning! I plan to stick around. But please go back to building cool stuff in KSP1 and cool it with the KSP2 drama videos. Just let us forget about that.
14:11 Hey brother I know you said "TRENDS people follow..." but it sounds an awful lot like -trans people-. The bot's(algorithm) will inevitably consider this video to be in the social dynamics category which is notorious for demonization. Otherwise, thanks for the breakdown on TH-cam dynamics this was a great video, I've been a subscriber for the majority of those 10 years.
So I came here to learn how to become famous TH-camr. First, my attention span isn't great, so I bought the fancy equipment before getting to the part where you said I don't need fancy equipment. You also didn't address what kind of content a talentless hack like me can produce. Overall, I blame you, and you owe me 2000$ I've wasted on the audio/video gear.
You were certainly one of the reasons I started a channel. It has been an incredible decade mate! Well done!
Thanks, mate! Next up: celebrating a million subscribers on your channel ;)
You've been killing it, really happy for you!

Glad to help!
That this game still has the massive fanbase it has, not excluding the modding community, is nothing short of astounding.

Congratulations with a decade on YT. I appreciate it from Scandinavia.
I was introduced to you by the Collaboration Station. Perhaps that can get an anniversary sequel.
Thank you for the first 10 years. Keep up the good work you do. And let's celebrate in 10 years from now again. 🍀🚀🚀🚀
The order audio, light, and camera is 100% the right order.
Interested in Scott Manley. Soon after you and Matt. I watch all of you video's from all of you. Generation X for life. No coffee.
Congratulations on reaching 10 years on TH-cam, here's for another 10 years. Thanks for all the entertainment and great info you provide!
I do recommend to spend a month for a diving into JNO and familiarize yourself with the great capabilities of this game.
