Wow! This engine sat outside of my parents' restaurant, Giuseppe's Old Depot, in Colorado Springs for decades. So wonderful to see it on the tracks again!
@@YardLimit My wife and I just returned from Durango a couple weeks ago to Omaha where we live. I’ve been researching Colorado railroads in-depth sense and have every intention of writing the C & T , Hopefully behind this locomotive but either way we will see steam out of Antonito. I’m hoping to camp in Antonito so we can watch the trains for a few days. Maybe next summer
Congratulations to all involved in restoring 168. I have been involved in restoration work for over 30 years and appreciate what an effort this has been. Hopefully I will get a chance to see here run. The videos I have seen of 168 are great. That is one sweet locomotive. Thanks again for the videos.
Water had just been put into 168. The water car was being moved back to Antonito for the winter so there was no need to stop water from coming out of it.

That's a cool story! I'm glad it's running again also.
They did a beautiful restoration. I have enjoyed many pizzas and brews at G's...going way back to when it was on Cascade.
Such an amazing video of #168. So glad she was restored great job 👏
Thank you. That was an amazing day!
I am in LOVE with this locomotive! We absolutely have to come back to Colorado and see her!
It only runs a few times a year so plan ahead!

Imagine a tripleheader with 168, 315 and 463 in the picture would be awesome!
I know the C&TSR plans to run 315 and 168 together. Not sure about 463.
I remember seeing this on display in Colorado Springs back in like 2010
Check this out. It's got video of 168 being donated to Colorado Springs. th-cam.com/video/4sxtr_vCRBQ/w-d-xo.html

Saturday.
Why was the water car being drained or did anyone notice it leaking water?
Water had just been put into 168. The water car was being moved back to Antonito for the winter so there was no need to stop water from coming out of it.
@@YardLimit Thanks.
It looks like they did a hybrid of her 1920’s look and her original built look
If I remember right they were trying to pattern it after approximately 1916 before it became Denver and Rio Grande Western.
