@@originalregipe4386 it did make the backrooms popular among kids, but no, for me it doesn't add to the horror, it just makes it one more generic creepypasta like any other.
The scene of the wall, chair, next room, wall, chair, repeated, (the Droste effect) was like one of the photos my art teacher showed us in 10th grade when she was having us do vision misperception art. I was half expecting the pursued filming to turn, try to get out of the Droste illusion to find himself trapped. I liked where it went.
This is really an amazing animation just for being a 3D animation, while also capturing the feeling of a real first person walking view. And then at the same time, it keeps capturing the attention of millions and keeping them locked away for more. Good work!
@@AnimatedHorrorFlicks You're welcome and don't apologize. I know you're not okay. I want you to be happy and healthy again soon. Take care and feel better. My best wishes that you soon get back to doing all the things you love! :) Oh, even though I didn't watch Stranger Things, I know it's a good show. It's very well directed and acted, it's got a pretty interesting mystery, and some of the early episodes are pretty creepy, but it's nowhere near the level of quality a lot of people say it is. I hope you enjoy watching season 4 of the show! :) As for me, I watched the movie Hellbound recently. I thought about watching one episode and maybe saving the rest for another time. Instead, I ended up watching the entire series. The plot, suspense and gore are gripping and will at times leave you numb. Did you watch Hellbound? 👀
This is SO well done and intriguing! You did the mysterious atmosphere perfectly and somehow it always feels like something is watching even though we never saw anything (except for moving shadows). I hope you do more of this
Thanks for the comment. I think the fear of the unknown is the most powerful kind of fear and I'm doing my best to incorporate this in my work, especially when it comes to the Backrooms.
@@AnimatedHorrorFlicks We need more people like you in the entirety of the horror industry. Every time I watch something categorized as “Horror” I always go into it with low expectations, because too many people just slap in cheap, loud jumpscares with overused jpegs nowadays.
Now this is good content, backrooms is an amazing horror concept, not this boring "teletubbies in backrooms bullshit" that are half way of ruining this great mysterious concept. Great work man, absolutely brilliant 👏🏻
Oh gosh, only 4 minutes in and it’s already better than most horror films. Such a creepy atmosphere, and the walk speed of the camera man has me on edge. Good job
I like that the creature was just lurking in the shadows. In every other one of these that I've seen the creatures are always either heading towards the camera directly, or are already right there and screaming. This works a lot better with the liminal atmosphere in my opinion.. the not knowing whether the entity is harmful or even what it is, it's just constantly watching when you aren't looking, and hiding.
Very well done! The slow pace and low eerie atmospheric tone, coupled with the rather bland first floor, contrasts dramatically with the spectacular shocking ending. Having an actual speaking character (and not just a camera with an associated sound of footsteps) really draws the viewer in. I'm looking forward to this guy's fate in the next video!
Can't even tell you the anxiety I felt while watching this. I kept expecting something to be around the corner, but there never was...until finally there was. The pacing was excellent. 10/10 You did an amazing job.
This animation of quality is on pair if not better then Kane pixels quality really fell in love with the atmosphere and horror you put into the the details In this clip was insane
One of my favourite interpretations so far It looks so much colder than most, a bit like the office scenes in fight Club or matrix - very desaturated, slow and only almost empty
The sheer realism these kinds of videos have is insane. I commend your great work on this Flicks! The Backrooms are such a scary yet interesting concept.
Thank you so much! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. There is a continuation in the works but I'm currently swamped with another project at the moment but hopefully I'll be able to get it wrapped up soon ;)
Can we just take a moment to appreciate how seamless the transition into the backrooms was? Most other videos depict them falling through a void and then into the backrooms, but here it's seamless.
I think if I ended up in the backrooms and didn't know what it was, the thing that would immediately stick out to me is that there are no windows or doors in the supposed "building" that I'm inside of. I feel like a sense of claustrophobia would set in for me.
If u look closely at six minutes and fifteen seconds u can see something peeking at the camera man and it quickly moves out of sight as soon as it sees him
Dude's soul left his body at the end. Great work on the sound design. It's easy to make these feel like they're dragging on endlessly but your sound design really made it an interesting journey
Honestly this is a little better than the Kane pixels version. What makes it already so good is the voice. Without that things feel very empty and boring. While kane pixels did use a voice, I feel like this would be real if I never knew about the backrooms. Plus the way you used the entity, it makes the person feel like they're being watched and followed, until the perfect time to attack. While kane pixels waited perfectly also, I feel like the entity didn't do a good job of bringing a life or death feeling.
Nice!! I appreciate the originality here; everyone else just tries to copy Kane's style, but I love how you made this your own. I like the darker, grittier atmosphere as well, and your use of shadows. Seriously, this is great.
I can't believe you're actually showing feet, and it looks good! This is going right into my best of playlist. A fine addition for my collection. You even implemented a shadow and reflections from the lights on the lens and the little blotches of water and dust, this is absolutely amazing!
I really really liked the ending scenery, with the red lightning flashes! I, like everyone else, have seen a ton of backrooms done by other people, but in my opinion, yours are the best ones. I might even like yours better than Kane Pixels. It felt really organic, and even though it was a very little detail, when the main character squeezed through a break in the wall, and the camera gets jostled around, was a very cool and attentive detail!! Very nicely done! >M

Nice. Having the cameraman cast shadows is overlooked by most of these sorts of videos, and I'm glad that it didn't end with the standard "monster jumps out and kills the cameraman" thing that's becoming a too-common trope.
This was a good one! Very realistic. The only two things I noticed (living in the 80s) is the framerate was a bit too high for a vhs camcorder, also the contrast back then was muddy and lights would trail. The tech was bad back then. Other than that this was absolutely immersing.
Loved the beginning, really enjoy the 90's house/techno club vibes along with the zoom into the drink being poured at the bar. 🍸 👌 Nice touch coming from a drinker. Was a very good way to draw someone in and get deceived from the horrors to come.
What the hell happened when he went from the office to the highway thing like It kinda looked like he sneezed so hard that he flew backwards into the highway
I think the ending was more terrifying than just showing some entity behind the person like a "ah it got me, how scary". We don't know what was behind the camera, We hear something grow louder then the video blacks out.
Great work, but the music takes away tension, rather than adds to it. One of the creepiest parts of level 0 is the silence...apart from the hum of the florescent lights. Unless the music was actually playing on that part of level 0, in which case never mind.
this was nice im also glad to see another creator showing us the feet of the person behind the camera its nice to see and i liked how u showed us that other level
Damn this was some good stuff. Amazing work with the shadows and dialogue. Only thing I didn't like was the creepy music, feels like the backrooms is scarier without any cinematic music. Thanks for making something so badass!
