I got this same thing done at J&I STHIL shop for about $84.00, And after seeing your video and seeing how easy and not a lot of time it takes to sharpen it yourself, I don't think I will ever be taking it back there again I rather do it myself now .
Thanks for the tip Calvin, really useful as I was having trouble with my Flymo hedge cutter. In the end I used my Dremel with a small grinding stone, I did take your advice about not taking too much metal off and it certainly saved LOTS of time over using a file. I found I could very quickly with hardly a need to check, move from one edge to the next and get a really sharp edge. Getting the grinding angle right proved to be quite straight-forward as you could easily see from the dull unsharpened metal to the clean, newly sharpened edge if you were grinding correctly. Many thanks.
Hi Clive. Do you mean the hedge trimmer Its husqvarna . to sharpen the blade I'm using a little air sander. Fitted with a 50mm roloc sanding disc. Like an angle die grinder. I hope this helps. Cheers Calvin

Thanks, I am having a problem moving the blades so I can get to both sides easily.
What compressor does it need?
What grit are u using?
@@wwh2694 in one of his other videos he said 60-80 grit
You don't like useing griders , but u use a grinder ... 🤔
File and a Stone makes a cleaner sharper non Jagged eadge 🔪
I'm using a mini sander. Very fine grit. Not a grinder
20 r 30 pounds on ebay. Yes but a compressor is £ 500.🤔
You can get compressors for under £100. No ones telling you to buy a £500 precessional level compressor.
The Milwaukee battery powered version works quiet well.
