I like this game. Mainly because of the music on Allumer's/Seta's custom sound chip the X1-010. I also feel that Athena, also should've ported this to the SNES/Super Famicom.
Love Athena, small company that put out a few games, but the mediocre looking top down shooter, Strike Gunner S.T.G. was one of my favorite shooters as kid on SNES, I still own today! Also Blockids on PS1 along with this and Daioh on arcade (also did Biometal on SNES, which I wasn't too crazy about, but OK nonetheless w/ crazy soundtrack).
i cant play this game, he crash / freeze in the 1st minute of the game, i tryed so many thing, so many roms, FBA, MAME, everything but always the same problem... please help
I played this game on Mame and really I recommend to try it and judge it by yourself. Playing this game is a big waste of time I mean the first level is easy it's a way to catch your attention and make you contine playing, really it has no comparison with the second level. The "real" game start from level 2 and you just keep on dying because you got enemies everywhere and they got random movements, and there're so many details that it's hard to distinct what are the plateforms and what are the part of the background. You have to make a savestate more often than usual and it's not enjoyable :-( I'm pretty sure that the programmers are the same as those who created Pulirula.

You are a noob the 2nd level is the EASIEST LEVEL and i beat this more then 20 times without save states and this is not an exaggeration
