In the original, the conversation between Historia and Eren was longer. It seems that Isayama-sensei wanted to depict that \"the main character is not always right\" in the royal government edition.
Historia's upbringing is very similar to that of her progenitor, Ymir. It is also recommended to read the original from season 3.
