  • Accompanied by Royal Canadian Legion personnel, Royal Newfoundland Regiment pallbearers carry the casket with the remains of the Newfoundland Unknown Soldier to the National War Memorial on July 1 for his reinterment. The ceremony for the Unknown Soldier followed the three days he laid in state at the Confederation Building where thousands of people paid their respects.

    As a veteran it made me very angry that the Newfoundland government cancelled the contract that a NEwfoundlander had for this. Mr Brace should of been given this contract but our government would not support him and they ended up going with out of province paying way way way more. This should of been done by a newfoundlander.
