I will definitely be making a few of these. Great stash buster projects. I'll probably finish off all the edges to prevent fraying, so they last longer. Great tutorial.
Thank you! this is a good simple project and a great gift wrap idea, I usually use scarfs and pashmina to wrap gifts, so my friends can reuse them, thanks for this idea, will definitely give a try this weekend.
Oh I’m so excited! I have LOADS of old fabric I have picked up and have been looking to use. I think these I will make for (second hand) gifts for the kids. Thanks for the super easy tutorial!
This video is great timing again! I already have plans on making this over the Easter weekend. I would love to see a video on how to sterilise jars and other containers for reuse.
Another great tutorial Niamh! I’ll need to have a rummage through my scraps but I don’t think I have a fabric as pretty as that 😉 Love your simple, straightforward solutions as always! Why complicate life any more than it already is 😉
This couldn't have come at a better time. I just made a bento bag a couple of days ago using another tutorial, and it was far more complicated and difficult to measure. I can't wait to try your method! Your fabric is so pretty, is it linen?
Genevieve Beaulieu ah thanks! I'm delighted it looks so simple! The material is cotton. My mum gave it to me. She had a scrap and had no use for it! So cute eh!
this is one i think i might be confused if i just saw some lets say pinterest photos, its much easier when shown how and where to fold and sew. thanks again, i really like the material you used, so pretty. i am considering thrifting a sewing machine, but i have no idea at all how to use one. could you do a video on the basics of how to set up and use a sewing machine, or share a link to a good video on how to?
Raining Moon ah the material is sweet eh! I'm useless at the sewing machine. I typed in how to use a sewing machine in TH-cam and just followed along. It helps if you have the make of the machine so you can search for that too.
Super clear an straight to the point! Also with meters & centimetres! 👏👏Thanks !
Oh my goodness THANK YOU I was trying to read someone’s blog post about how to fold the bag before sewing and was incredibly lost, you saved the day!!
I will definitely be making a few of these. Great stash buster projects. I'll probably finish off all the edges to prevent fraying, so they last longer. Great tutorial.
Korinne Guthrie yes do that! I love making loads all at once. Nice to use as wrapping paper too eh!
Oh boy! This is my kind of project. I love this. Sewing machine, here I come.
Doro yippeee! Enjoy! :-)
Thank you! this is a good simple project and a great gift wrap idea, I usually use scarfs and pashmina to wrap gifts, so my friends can reuse them, thanks for this idea, will definitely give a try this weekend.
Your friends are lucky. Such a nice gift wrapping a gift!

Andrea Javier ah brilliant!
To sterilize just pop the containers in a pot and boil for ten minutes in loads of water.

Awh that's great to hear!

thanks Gillian!!
Lovely project! The only suggestion I would make is to finish the raw edges so they don't fray.
How fun and handy. Is 90 cm the short side or long of the rectangular material?
Long side :)
yep 30 cm wide to 90 cm long
Can't wait to have a go at this 😊

Genevieve Beaulieu ah thanks! I'm delighted it looks so simple!
The material is cotton. My mum gave it to me. She had a scrap and had no use for it! So cute eh!
I just use a handkerchief with the corners tied together to carry my lunches to work. 😊 it then doubles as a a mini table cloth
so cute and minimal
