I've made a few of these now, thanks to your tutorial. I like your method because my seams are really holding up nicely & I use mine every day to hold my favorite books! Thank you for the lesson. Great for a beginner sewer too. They make great gift bags, too.
Great tutorial. Very easy to follow. I love the bag I made. Thank you! I did the final step with the 3 inch triangle cut off each side, but it doesn't seem like that step is necessary if you're ok with the shape of the inside of the bag with those pieces still included.
Thank you for this tutorial! I'm going to try this :) Just one question: for the corner measurement (3 inches in the video), if I were to use a different size fabric, would I just measure at 25% of the "short side" measurement, is that correct? Since 3 inches is 25% of 12 inches
MS. Diana, could you please do a sewing machine up keep video? How often should I change my needle? Plastic vs metal bobbins. How do I clean my machine so it keeps running? Hope it isn't much to ask. Thank you
I like this idea! I might skip cutting the edges, and try folding the triangle over on itself and hand stitch it down to make it more decorative so it can be reversible :)
Yes you can! make sure that you hem all the raw edges. I like to do double fabric because of the feel and extra weight. I'm not sure I would do anything differently for this bag.
Would you help me with the size I need for a large, medium and small size bag. Somehow my math doesn’t work and my bag does not square. The 12 1/2 x 36 1/2 is a little small for my Artisan loaf. Thank you

Thank you so much for these directions. Cant wait to make this and will use some batik that I have been saving and will get to see regularly.
Good luck
Haven't made this yet, but it looks so much easier than others I have seen!!
I hope it is.
Loved the tutorial. I just finished making one and it is fantastic.
Wonderful!

Great idea! Thanks.
Hi - this definitely looks doable! Do you always use double fabric or could you do this with one layer? What would you do differently if anything?

@@SewVeryCrafty Thank you for your swift reply! Very helpful.
You could serge the seams for a single layer, then stitch the seam flat
I love this but I would not cut the corners. Then you have raw edges. I would just leave the corners.
That is a good point. Thank you.
I would have enjoyed this more had the camera focused on the project better to see what was being done clearly.
This was one of my first videos. I hope to be getting better as I go along. Thanks for the comment.
It wasn’t hard to see what you are doing. Lovely tutorial!
She describes what she is doing, in a slow manner. Perfect!
