What plants are on your wish list and ditch list this year?

I only started my plant passion 5 months ago, but I am desperately looking for a rhaphidophora tetrasperma to watch it grow over the summer.
I am very much like you when I go plant shopping, I first think about the plants I want to find and then feel glad when I actually find them! But after a few days I feel the regret of not buying some beautiful plant I saw there ahahah

@@cooki.monsta 😂😂 yes I know that feeling too. Especially if I can’t find it again afterwards 😩
The Raph Tet is getting easier to find now. So I hope you’re able to get one soon. Happy growing! 😊🪴

I Am really enjoying watching this video, as plants that revert, are very discouraging, and hard to grow plants are frustrating. Plus every different plant, that is a pest magnet is NO fun either. YOU are being extremely sensible on how you pick your plants. Nice to see for a change.

My El Choco Red has had pests more often than my verrucosum. It’s always spider mites and aren’t that hard to get rid of as long as you check them often and catch them early. I try to spray them occasionally when I remember for preventative care.

Great video! I really enjoyed all of the additional content you provided on their growth patterns and variegation stability. This year, I really want an Aglaonema Chocolate, Aglaonema Kochin Sutra, and Philodendron Red Moon.

I want the Aglaonema Chocolate too! Heard one of the main FL growers had issue this year though, so another company is trying to catch up to fill demand. So may be late or low availability this year.

I would love a hoya compacta variegated but I'm too afraid of critters hiding in the nooks and crannies of that plant. Like you, I don't want any plants that are going to cause me anxiety.

I purchased in all green burle Marx for $20 and when I was repotting it I noticed some variegation on the stems under the soil. I cut off all the green propagated it and then I quickly grew out out a beautiful variegated burle Marx That Grew quickly and now I have two full pots . If it starts to revert just then just cut back the all green just below a variegated stem

Tequila Sunrise and Sunrise are definitely different. I recently purchased a Tequila Sunrise cutting. I can't say much about how their growth patterns differ, but the TS leaves are larger and they are a darker green.

My El Choco Red is my absolute favourite plant in my collection!!! It’s a fairly fast grower for me. I spray it every couple of weeks so it’s usually pest free. One wish list plant for me is a Monkey Tail Cactus 🐵🌵

If you love variegated plants, go for the Croton Gold Dust, I keep looking at mine and it looks like a green and golden constellation, or like someone went and sprayed the green leaves with gold color :D Hoya princess is beautiful, beautiful.

I have a variegated Hoya Carnosa Compacta on my list. I have the Green ones, but They have an INNER Variegated one out now, which I would like to get, as well as the outer Variegated one, on my list. Then One variegated cactus I have seen that people own, on you tube videos. Plus AIR Plants, But only if I can find ones that I really like. Other than that, I guess with me it's more a case of, if I come across something I REALLY like, that is not a hard to grow plant. But It's usually one type of plant I will buy that I really find interesting. I mainly have some green propagated Jade Plants, and just found a variegated one. Plus my Hoya Carnosa Compacta's, a couple of Crown Of Thorns, and different coloured flower ,Thanksgiving and Easter Cactus. I found a cute little Jelly Bean Cactus, and a couple of different coloured Oxalis. A Green One and a Iron Cross type, which I really like. Also have a small, Gollum Plant. Those are the oddball Plants I like to find. Oh I forgot I would love to find a Desert Rose Plant as well. I am looking for a good wide plant shelf, something like IKEA Sells to put all My Thanksgiving and Easter Cactus on right now. They are taking up too much room in my Grow Cabinets I like Propagating plants a lot, but am trying to quit doing that, unless I put them in with the plant it came from, to make it fuller. But Propagating plants is a lot of fun. I never buy expensive plants, I just can't bring myself to spend a lot of money on a plant that could just die, our Budget just cannot handle that. But I do love fussing over my plants, as I am in Alberta. Canada, and it is cold and snowy for so many months, my plants give me a lot of Happiness. Just as I'm sure all the rest of the plant lovers enjoy their's

I have a verrucosum. I got it as a one leaf cutting like a month or so ago. I planted it in soil and perlite mix immediately with just the long aerial roots. It had already grown a huge second leaf and is almost ready to pop out a huge third leaf. I had it in my mini greenhouse up until a week ago and it’s doing the same in ambient humidity in my window shelf. It is absolutely so easy for me. Haven’t seen any pests or pest damage. So to me it’s one of my easiest plants.

I like the fact that you understand, that homes can become way too full of plants everywhere. Personally I think people showing way too many plants, especially big ones, does not look nice at all. Fewer plants make a statement. Too many big plants, especially looks really tacky.
