This week, Tote ambassador Danny Mullins is on tour to catch up with the Shark, John Joseph Hanlon.
He has Hewick lined up for the Cheltenham Gold Cup after his £800 purchase added the King George VI Chase at Kempton to his glittering CV, that also includes a Tote Galway Plate and an American Grand National.
Danny stakes a claim for the Cheltenham Gold Cup ride by taking Hewick for a spin, finds out where the 'Shark' nickname comes from and plenty more in this exclusive interview.

a smaller g1 size horse will always beat a bigger sized g1 horse, go back in history all legends have been of regular to small size at least average 15-16hh

I remember reading a thoroughbred book that was made in 1908 and the breeder basically said back then that this is the case, he said a smaller/average size horse that has quality will always beat the big horse with quality, but if the horses don't have quality the bigger horse would be more impressive at other things, jump, pull dressage etc etc fast forward throughout time you'll see not only where the best race horses smaller/ average size they where the best sire's, northern dancer being one of the smallest and best, why? im guessing speed. Of course there has been impressive big horses but less thesedays due to northern dancers genetics showing up in most race horses. Anyway bit of history for ya@@ToteRacing

yeah i could get behind that he tested him out for sharky so that's a good sign. His coat looks great so the horse looks in good standing i hope the best for him and he deserves to be rode by a top Irish Jockey with the horses best interest in winning. @@ToteRacing
