A very pleasing and impressive performance. I wish that they would contribute more frequently to TH-cam.
Westminster Cathedral is the place where I can stay and pray 24 hoursÃ7 days a week
Hermosa y mÃstica interpretaciÃģn de esta obra de polifonÃa del gran Palestrina. Gran equilibrio de voces guiadas por una magnÃfica direcciÃģn. Gracias! Desde Puebla , MÃĐxico.

This chir sang the best version I'd ever heard and I just noticed that it disappeared from youtube :(
I know that version. I managed to snab it quickly before it disappeared.
Magnifico!
WunderschÃķn âĪïļ
es uno de los mejores CatÃģlicos del Reino Unido
Awesome heavenly voices ,,,,,, from musical genius G. L. Palestrina
The dissonance ððŋ Speaks levels
This was once regarded as one of the greatest choirs in the world and some argued it to be the best.
Very nice balance, the sopranos are not overpowering as in most choirs, but the basses could obtain a softer tone.
The boy in the second row, second from the left, doesnât seem to be singing!
Weird phrasing. Verdi Requiem? Why? I canât believe it. Much better if done with Mr. Rick Wakemanâs mellotron.
Please, read: cervus, not rinocerus.
So sorry, but someone had to tell it on the mountains. There is a complete incontinence of espiritual meaning. Perhaps the sound take? Unbelievable massive and homogeneous progressing of the different voices. Again, why? Covid? New world order? Please, advice.
Pas si mal du tout.
These boys donât sound nearly as good as they did under the direction of Martin Baker. Itâs a shame that such a legacy program has compromised on itâs standard of excellence.
They still sound Roman and not Anglican.
@@ransomcoates546 they sound very good
They also have become accustomed to their new master of music
Not being a professional chorister I wouldn't notice the difference, and it sounded beautiful to me. What I do notice is that whilst the great Anglican Cathedrals maintain great standards in their role of custodians of the great Catholic music heritage - including boarding at such places as Westminster Abbey, Catholic Cathedrals pander to the whims and weaknesses of society, such as letting parents take their boys home at weekends. How can you maintain such standards when the boys are away from the Cathedral when you need them most! It is also testament to such weaknesses and the weakness of the modern liturgy, that parents no longer see it as so important.
