Nice build, I’m building a 93 XJ inline 6, 4 speed auto, 4:56 gears, she’s not a trailer queen so I drive her weighted down with a 3 row radiator and high volume water pump with no issues, if you’re planning on making her a overlanding rig you might want to upgrade your cooling system especially with low HP motors and 4 speed automatics of those years
Just rebiult my axles, got my 97 after the front axle seized and the wheel came off at 80mph lol Fun process tho to rebuild super rewarding to watch other people do it
Yeah the axle did not have any grease💀(previous owner sorta didn’t take it in until it broke) so it slowly heated up til it began to melt and spin the axle, and then it al heated and began to melt, wheel and brake buckled, and the lugs finally sheared. Totally scary situation glad I wasn’t driving but it turned out ok, the just slid to a stop without damaging anything else smh
I already did panhard correction and radius arm drop brackets in another video. I do need the radius drop brackets for the axle itself. That, or offset knuckle bearings….or cut and weld the knuckle balls back on. Lots of options
I’m gonna be honest! I didn’t! I do plan to get RCVs and it’s not a big deal to tear it back apart. I’ll be easy on the front locker as to not blow the birfs up.
Love the progress. Things a beast
Thanks dude!

Sweet big fun of land cruiser 80 series
Loved to see the work on the LC. Very interesting those full float axles.
Thanks! Right?? You can just rip the axle shaft out with the truck on the ground.
Nice work and video. Thanks man.. All the Best-😎
Thanks!
Loved this vid! Excited for the shop to continue to make progress!

Wow. Care to describe which part failed? And why? Thanks.
Scary!!

But I got it running smooth and the engine running smooth. Very happy with the rebuild all oem
By axle in the beginning I meant birfield
and axle complex
i want one so bad it’s sick bro
I'm digging your cruiser... Enjoy!!
Thanks!
Content is great. Keep doing what you’re doing.
Thanks man!
Woot! Congrats!
thanks!
Alwys good videos RM!
Thanks man!
awesome video !!! I'm getting ready for a full refresh on both axels with 4.88 gears but with a Eaton Elocker in the rear. Your videos helped a lot
Awesome to hear!
nice work on getting it all back in running shape! I need to do gears also
Thanks Lee! How’s the new rig?
@RM_Garage new rig has been solid!
Awesome, nice to know I'm not the only person that has hiccups like dropping parts and destroying them.. awesome job!
Oh yeah. I drop stuff all the time, mess up parts all the time, etc. nothing typically goes as planned.
Supercool, saving up for a Land Cruiser build myself. Looks like we live very close to each other, I recognize those roads.
Nice!
Excellent
Can we have more of the cute guy at 6:20 🤎
Great vision of your channel, some others lose his main porpoise that is show how to do it in a “budget”
Thank you! Exactly
Awesome mate gonna turbo it ??
Thought about it but it’s obd1. Would probably need a standalone and at that point may as well engine swap
you need rear low contro arm to fix pinion angle

Let’s go shake it down. I’m in your area with an 80. If you ever need someone to wheel with hit me up
хорошая работа. слежу за твоим каналом. в планах провести такие же работы с мои тлк80.
Thanks!
5.29 would be the perfect gear ratio for the 38’s. Nevertheless, nice rig mate.
I did 4.88 because I’ll swap the motor eventually
Why not turbo the 1FZ?
How many miles does that LC have?
225k but the motor has about 1500, and I’ve replaced most suspension components.
What steering wheel wrap is that?
It’s from wheelskins. I install it in a previous video. th-cam.com/video/ah2UXy_BswI/w-d-xo.html
@@RM_Garagethank you!
Xlnt to get it back on the road for 2025!
Really great stuff 🤙🏽🎯🍻
