I’ve solo sea kayaked around the north jetty in early May a few years ago, 6 foot sea, 20 knot westerlies, flood tide. It was a mess off the tip, even out in what I thought was deeper water. Dredging had left shallow water rather distal to the jetty end point with breaking seas exposing murky sand bars in the deeper troughs, with trapezoidal waves sneezing up out of nowhere. Rather anxious I was. A week later a crab boat went down in similar conditions cutting around the short cut corner. All hands lost I believe. Hopefully the jetty is a bit safer now. The crabbers were sure upset.
Awesome music choice 💯🎣🔥🔥🔥🔥

Very nice! Was interesting to see the ocean on both sides...one calm, the other with waves. What was the music?
Pink Floyd.
When’s the jetty supposed to reopen?
