"...you see exactly seven red birds..." I generally enjoy Kathleen's input on most things, but Dice Friends is where Kathleen is at her greatest. There's a real storytelling gift there, and the ability to do that off the top of her head makes Dice Friends really fun, whichever side of the DM screen she's on. This has been great.
Kathleen De Vere Yeah, I figured that bit was planned, the improv comment was more a reference to the many things that earned Morra inspiration in Escape from Semolo Plateau, and various other quick-witted moments of storytelling genius that have been clearly off-the-cuff.
Kathleen De Vere By the way, as I was listening to the intro, I was admiring the quality of the writing, whilst wondering what it had to do with the storyline. Weaving it in as one of the leaders' campfire stories could have been very cliched but you managed to do it seamlessly. Then having it come back later as part of the actual storyline was inspired. Good job! It's stuff like that which makes Dice Friends so good.
I gotta say Orcus is a very ambitious start for a young demon summoner. Most are content with starting with lesser demons and gradually working their way up to demon prince eventually, usually when they have minions of their own. The fact that she went right up to Orcus at age 11 shows a lot of passion for the craft of summoning demons to this plane and having them bring about an usurping of all we hold dear. Kudos.
Evandill besides you don’t hear about the ones who where over ambitious and summoned something with whom they definitely did not want fuck with and... well, where murdered horribly
What if they're like slurpy What if they're chunks What if they're like pallets What if they're just bones Serge: what if they're alive? Oh serge you beautiful optimist
Today's coffee spit take at work was brought to you by LRRs Ben with "...She's a Dog!!!". Come back next week to find out what made me spit coffee all over my desk.
I too played the french horn Cameron, and likewise had quite the lung capacity and endurance. I also impressed my band teacher by hitting the high F on my first go. Got a headache too. Damn tiny mouthpieces.
Holy shit, Cam talking about the kids stomping frogs at summer camp...the wildest thing we did when I was at summer camp was whip rocks at a half tree at the bottom of the ravine by the campsite.
Great game! I love LLR doing these things. --- Also since you didn't say the mistakes are house rules. (which is the best house rule i've ever heard). Normally when you concentrate, you can still cast spells, just not *another* concentration spell... But i'm thinking he won't complain considering what a fit he gave the birds.
I find it pretty weird that these birds are more durable than an average goblin. Or a random commoner. Not sure if that's a statement to a goblin's or commoner's suckiness, or the birds' buffness.
The entire adventure is actually a dream in Peloton's last minutes of being alive, because after he smoked the big blunt, he went into a coma and is dying slowly.
Currently watching: @serge I feel personally attacked as a clarinet player in high school. Not all of us knew that we were supposed to moisten our reeds. ;-)
Look, this is great, but I get annoyed by the “If this is wrong it was a house rule all along” thing, especially when it’s a thing that cripples a character. You CAN cast spells while maintaining a concentration spell. You just can’t maintain two concentration spells at once, and have a chance of losing concentration when you get hurt. Spells like haste and greater invisibility would be much less good if you couldn’t cast other spells while keeping them up.

I absolutely had that prompt ready in my notes if someone rolled high enough on perception.

Evandill or just plain 11 year old hubris and silliness
Evandill besides you don’t hear about the ones who where over ambitious and summoned something with whom they definitely did not want fuck with and... well, where murdered horribly
Good times. Also, Serge is a ton of fun to have on Dice Friends, so I hope to see him many more times on this show. :D
He's astonishingly good at pretending to be a prepubescent girl
Agreed!
Kathleen as magical dog is so cute & delightful! Also, really enjoying this series!
What if they're like slurpy
What if they're chunks
What if they're like pallets
What if they're just bones

SnowToad Don't be gross.

I love how Peloton’s book looks like the back of an MTG card
I have actually found myself straight up looking forward to Dice Friends VOD day. Much love the Heather for the Into the Woods lyrics.
Who wants a "Smokey the Dire Bear" t-shirt now?
I remember Eustice the Servo! It's good that he's been repurposed as a cabin counselor! (24:37)
After watching this, I am SO glad I decided to play flute in Band.
This episode reminded me how glad I am that I played euphonium and not oboe or another woodwind in band
CRAPPY DAY TURNED AROUND! Thanks LRR! :)

the birb noises were so funny!
Around 1:12:28 - 1 gold piece is a lot in 5E for a peasant
The economy doesn't make sense in DnD if you analyses it deeply.
Holy shit, Cam talking about the kids stomping frogs at summer camp...the wildest thing we did when I was at summer camp was whip rocks at a half tree at the bottom of the ravine by the campsite.
16:05 Cam, is that expression a look of dawning realization and horror at what Alex and Serge are about to suggest?
This is wonderful.
Old guy in the cabin is me. Every item of clothing I own needs to have pockets!
Great game! I love LLR doing these things.

This needs to be an official campaign.
2:54:54 and Nog and Valencia are born. :)
the into the woods reference

16:09 Cam's face
I am very upset, I don’t come here to have terrible flashbacks to middle school band
I'm surprised an 11 year old would want to eradicate the world, but then again I don't quite remember my thoughts when I was that age so eh.
Winterpandacookies I can confirm that destroying the world is exactly what 11 year olds want.
I'm surprised that there are 11 year olds who don't.
Winterpandacookies is ulrica a boy or girl?
Patrick Richardson (idk what this has to do with my comment) Ulrica is a girl. Alex introduces her as so in the beginning of last week's episode.
Yes.
Yay I missed the session!
WE GOT SUPER DAVID LYNCH!
I still want my mommas' boy paladin.
I kind of like this more than the original... blasphemous I know but something about them acting like children seems very genuine.
It's beautiful
..........u can still cast another spell as long as its not another concentration spell.
What if their alive...... Ehhhhhhhhh i was dying😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Never clicked so fast in my life
1 gold piece is basically equivalent to 10 bucks.
So many chult references.
Anyone else get the feeling that when Kathleen started to talk about a girl summoning a demon she was talking about Mora
Morra is chaotic good, though. She only recently got into demon summoning.
1:27:11 - Please make an ASMR channel of Ben's beard scratching.
Dun dun dun!

Zombieland Sound Effect (most likely)

To be fair....they’re children!!
ripping off cams preludes xD
Not intentionally. I was trying to do a spooky campfire story, a mainstay of the camp experience.
Omfg kathleen replied to me. *fan girls so hard*
Also not saying it was bad
@@johncouzens5321 Yeah, I get that. However, even three years later, it looks like shade because you used the phrase "ripping off."
