one of the best guitar player ever ..... here i suppose with Nick Gravenites, wow, best feeling blues, try to shut your eyes and think lovely and melancholy, and the Mick Bloomfield blue notes.....
This, like all other Michael Bloomfield's playing, is blues with nothing but a frank, direct, essentially down, blues nature. No artificial polish or showy emotion/fireworks, it just real blues expression. Bloomfield transferred the listener into the down nature of the music, rather than throwing in distracting razzle-dazzle. Feeling down ain't pretty or sterilized. Real blues takes you down with it; fancy prettiness and hip blues totally misses the mark artistically; it's more for marketing and mass-consumption. So sorry for Michael Bloomfield's not being alive and continuing now.
Once again I would like to apologise for all those sleepless nights my friend. Would you like me to restrict your access to my videos so you can catch up on your sleep ? LOL ! Very happy to hear that youre enjoying my vids.
I love Mike Bloomfield with Butterfield and Electric Flag, but when he leaves the blues-rock, he is just one among others. I have tried to listen to the solo albums, but it's not worth it. He is best in a free blues jam.

T thanks this is sweet! Sam my Man I smoked for years, and I quit so as to enjoy thing for many more years, and I feel and play better as well, cheers mate!
Yes, I am aware ... back in the day Mark Adams was my long time boyfriend. Mike and Mark used to drop by the Sweetwater Saloon in Mill Valley to jam with local friends. It was Mark Naftalin on piano on this album and it should have been Mark Adams on harp.
@@VBForbes Saw Mark Naftilin all the time back in the day, I lived in Marin County in the late 60's and most of the 70's. I and knew Michael he was a great guy.
Master of Master this blues guitarist from the years 60s,70d early 80s 🎸
Thanks ZINEDINEO5 for all the Mike Bloomfield and Paul Butterfield music.... RIP Mike & Paul... I miss them Big Time.

I know what you mean. A lot of people claiming today that they play blues, while it is mostly just like you described it. Nothing against it tho.
speedball is a hell of a drug
They are trying to keep the blues alive though, even if they are not MB, SRV, GM, JW or JB💙🖤👌
such a great number! Performer - Barry Goldberg, Lee Michaels, Mark Naftalin, Michael Shrieve, Mike Bloomfield, Nick Gravenites, Spencer Dryden
Thank u!!
Didnt Spencer Dryden play in the Jefferson A.P.?
Double drummers? Both Shreive and Dryden?
bloomfield was one of the most apassionate musicians in the whole world
Its true
I think you mean passionate and it's a typo?
Good god, this combo Gravenites/bloomfield is just the best
I'd pair Mike and Nick against most anyone.
RIP to the legend 🎸🎼
My God this is KILLER thank you so much for putting this up!!!! Truly one of the greatest guitar players EVER!!!!
Five stars..only because I can't vote with 10 !!

- Couldn't agree more! Really. 👌
Actually a great lp.
Roy Buchanan is right there imho....
Pity only a few fornicators have heard of Bloomfield in India; conversely, that's a blessing; that means he is priceless!!!

The real gem. Good Lord... Makes me shivering. Love him since I know my wit.
Understated and under rated, watch everything you can ASAP💙👌👍

Mike Bloomfield fue el mejor guitarrista blanco de blues, sólo que la suerte no le acompañó como a Clapton.
Jamás olvides a Johnny Winter y a muchos mas el también era blanco por fuera y azul por dentro .
@@cerasaxel6156 So was Gary Moore, love Johnny though💙🖤

Reminds me of Roy Buchanan on this cut....
You right, very similar
Mark nataflin on the piano ??
I've been trying to quit since February ! Not doing so well this week !Peace E !
Not so sure it was Naflatin on piano ... one cannot assume .. Nick's usual harmonica player was Mark Adams and sadly it 's not Mark on this recording.
Both Mark Naftalin and berry Goldberg are credited on this album. I am not sure who plays which parts tho
I’d be really surprised if this turned out to be Mark Naftalin
Yes, I am aware ... back in the day Mark Adams was my long time boyfriend. Mike and Mark used to drop by the Sweetwater Saloon in Mill Valley to jam with local friends. It was Mark Naftalin on piano on this album and it should have been Mark Adams on harp.
LMAO ! You don't have to worry about that V !
Thats what I like to hear Sam ! Silkcuts or Dunhills ?
Naflin on Piano?Ira Kamin on Organ...Bob Jones Drums?
I hope you took it easy on her V !
Whose on piano on this??
recojan las hojas secas...
Awesome piano ... too bad you were never recognized as you should have been... sadly nothing new in the music business :-(
Naftalin is highly regarded amongst those who love these blues

Not really sure man. The liner notes for this cd do not give the specific details of who played on each track.
I would bet it's Mark Naftalin on piano.
Mark Naftalin!!! Gotta het me some more those greasy keys!!!!
