"I stand with you!"... "Hey! Which replicator did you use to get the large pretzel with hot mustard!"... "Hang on, I am on my way" (face plants because he didn't correctly adjust his mag boots)
8:34 to the Actress who plays T'lynn. I love your character arc. I love your character's growth and development. I love how T'lynn will do *ANYTHING* for her friends, starting with rebuilding a shuttle to tearing it apart! All of it was LOGICAL! She has such complexity, but when you watch a story unfold, everything she is and does is perfectly Vulcan.
Massive thanks and applause to not just everyone involved in making “Lower Decks” but “The Ready Room” too. I just learned earlier today that BOTH shows were ending today, which is really sad. I’ve honestly loved watching these after-shows with Wil, through the years. He’s such a good host with genuine love for all things Trek and the people involved in it. I’ve watched similar after-shows for other franchises and they’ve often been trying too hard to be “cool” or “nerdy” to either appeal to a younger fan base or hardcore fans. Wil just does it naturally because he’s one of us Trekkies, as well as someone with lived experience on and off screen. I sincerely hope he’s brought back for another behind the scenes look at future Star Trek productions. Thanks, Wil!🥹👏🖖
Lower Decks demonstrates beautifully that sometimes you should just hand a budget to the biggest franchise nerds you can find in the film industry I hope we get those follow-up shows/movies
Upon finishing the episode last night, I immediately looked for a Ready Room episode to wrap things up, so thank you for providing this. Lower Decks was an amazing show, and I'm not happy at all to see it go, but I HOPE this isn't the full end - everyone involved with this absolute gem was outstanding.
One of my earliest memories that I can date, is my parents sitting me down as a child to watch the series premiere of Star Trek The Next Generation (Yeah I'm old). I've been a huge Trekkie nerd ever since then. I have an encyclopedic knowledge of the Star Trek Universe. My wife always made fun of me and would tease me about about Star Trek, she was never interested in watching it... until Lower Decks. She'd see bits and pieces of Seasons 1 and 2 while I was watching it and it really drew her in. Now she's seen all the movies and has been watching the other series' with me, catching the origins of Lower Decks' references as we go. As a lifelong Trekkie I know lots of other Trekkies, but they were all lifelong fans too, they got into it when they were young like I did. I've never seen a Trek series bring in someone new like Lower Decks did. It's humor, format, and visual style made it really approachable for new people, while still telling compelling stories with lovable characters who were growing. It really seems like there's still so many stories left for these characters, and so much space left for them to develop. I'm glad we got five seasons of awesome stories, but sad we won't be getting more.
It can't end, it's one of the best Star Trek shows, they can do so much to bring back characters that would be harder in live-action, and this season proves it. Not to mention all the people in the shows itself LOVE doing it and want to KEEP doing it. This is not something you should cancel, let it fly!
wait... I watched an episode of "Voy" (hey, that really does save time.) where Harry Kim was captain of a Rhode Island class exploration vessel. He isn't an ensign in every universe. He's a Damn Fine Captain in at least one!
The fact that anyone looks like their animated character with a bit of make-up or prosthetics is incredible. A live-action special presentation set a few years from the finale would be awesome.
Well Star Trek came back with The Motion Picture, I'm sure they can have Star Trek: Lower Decks, The Streaming Movie. We need Lower Decks movies on stream!
Lower Decks is the main reason I watch Paramount Plus, it brings me much happiness, and warmth to my heart! I love you, Paramount! You’re the birthplace of Star Trek! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🖖🥹
Each season finale was better then any previous one, and it started ceritos strong, it's just mind boggling how this cast and crew pulled it off, best star trek show ever made ❤ I laughed my ass off for the entire last episode, thanks 🙏
@@ennayanne They gave a crazy ass concept 5 seasons while being close to being bankrupt. Given right wing, trumper Larry Ellison now owns it, don't expect any trek to continue much longer. I'm appreciative for what we got. Always better to leave them wanting more than to let it go too long.
Randy Quaid 10:35 A pinnacle example of me on my insides, (I despise regret. Thus I despise all of my weaknesses and flaws.) Being a man in today's world is fraught with peril, and romance is a challenge that can absolutely wreck us Men! Thank you for helping me hold a mirror to myself.
[narrator voice] You’ve seen the upper decks. You’ve seen the lower decks. Now brace yourselves for… The Jeffries Tubes. (Cue montage of two-fisted action engineering)
11:45 "Turns out, his beard's purple" Pff, nice try. Computer, play back personal logs: "Gotta be better about hiding my *purple hair dye.* Nobody knows my REAL hair color is- "
Lower Decks has been so amazing. It's become one of my all-time favorite Trek Series behind DS9. I'm not ready to say goodbye to the crew. I do hope we will get more, either a spin-off, a Movie or 2... or both. Thank you for 5 fantastic years, it's been a fun and amazing ride. LOWER DECKS! LOWER DECKS! LOWER DECKS!
I think what needs to happen is some sort of live action version of Lower Decks and hear me out combined with a live action Star Trek Prodigy. Thoughts? Taking place when everyone is older but still funny.
Wir brauchen auf jeden Fall ein Reallife Film von Lower Decks und wenn Wesley Crusher als Reisender mit dabei sein sollte würde das bestimmt noch mehr Spaß bringen. ☝🏼🤓🖖🏼👽🤗
8:25 I so agree that "Second contact" is vital to sustaining the Federation. There is no such thing as a "One-an-Done", not when entire planets worth of people want to be a part of a greater community, like say... our galaxy and it's 400 billion stars!
Lower Decks was genuinely in my top 3 favorite Star Trek shows along with TNG and DS9. Trek has never been better at comedy than it was with LD. I hope we haven't seen the last of the Lower Deckers!
I realize it wouldn't have worked without everything that came before it, and so credit where credit is due, but Lower Decks was easily my favorite Star Trek series ever. I wish I could have got another 5 seasons. :-(
As much as Lower Decks deserves to stick around in some form, Paramount needs to take all this money they're saving dropping their Star Trek serieses and finally produce the continuation of Picard Season 3. Time for Legacy, live action (preferable) or animated.
While I'm sad that it's ended, at least they went out on top. The show never stagnated or ran out of ideas. Lower Decks has been my favourite Star Trek TV show since... well, the very Star Trek shows that it pays homage to -- TNG, DS9, and Voyager. Strange New Worlds is good too, and the crossover episode was really fun.
At 7:25 Fred "if the ship had a voice" can you imagine an episode where the ship's computer core gained a super-*sentience? (*I can't use the word sapient here, because the ship would be so much more than "human-like")
I’m still wondering what the franchisees priorities were and cutting this show short when it was so wild, tightly written, and well performed by such a cohesive crew.
Over 100,000 LY wide, more or less 10,000 LY thick, 24 star systems in the first 12 LY around earth, about 5,000 inside the first 50 LY from earth! Damn it! I wanna visit "Struve", WHAT A STAR SYSTEM! let's get "Sirius" too!
Needed 7 seasons and 4 movies!
I agree!
I see what you did there. :)
At least!
If it weren’t for that writer and actor’s strike.
Needs a "Resurgence" engine video game set in either Crisis Point or Batleths and B`inuchs boardgame setting.
Lower Decks! Lower Decks! Lower Decks! Lower Decks! 🖖

Huge mistake cancelling this show.
real
AGREED.
ALL CAPS AMEN!!!
it didn't get cancelled, but it didn't get renewed.
LOWER DECKS! LOWER DECKS! LOWER DECKS!
This show actually deserved a bunch more seasons. Sad to see it go but hoping we get more great animated trek in the future.
Aw MAN, so we're never getting those questions about the Koala answered?
WHY IS HE SMILING?!
WHAT DOES HE KNOW?!
I read the first line as rutherford and the next to in boimler screams..
I'm realy sad that Lower Decks has come to an end.
Loved the show.
Huge thanks to all of the amazing cast and crew for their amazing work!

She's great in Crazy Ex Girlfriend too
Lower Decks should not have been cancelled. If Those Old Scientists is a good precedent, a movie franchise should bring the crew back together
My favourite Trek series since DS9.
So glad it was produced, but so very sorry to see it leave our screens.
This is part of the show the network couldn't kill! Lower Decks AND Ready Room WILL live on one way or another!!!✊🏾
Carol Freeman ended up being one of my favorite captains in Trek, I'm going to miss her.
Can't believe it's over. What a great show!
Completely agreed 💯💯

“It’s in our blood now.” Just like Star Trek: Lower Decks. Lower decks! Lower decks! Lower decks!

I'm going to miss Lower Decks. It was very entertaining with humor, wild stories and great characters.
I hope everyone involved knows how much pure joy they have given us. Thank you.
Everyone actor in Lower Decks brings their *A* game, every single time! Love you all!
Hoping Lower Decks gets picked up on another streaming platform, like Prodidgy. Or they at least get a movie. Love these characters

Love Lower Decks and gutted to see it end. Hope we get to revisit these characters in the future.
Damn - Paul Thompkins in a green suit is 🔥
wait... I watched an episode of "Voy" (hey, that really does save time.) where Harry Kim was captain of a Rhode Island class exploration vessel. He isn't an ensign in every universe. He's a Damn Fine Captain in at least one!
That was an alternate timeline where Voyager took a lot longer time to reach the Alpha Quadrant.
Of course, he is a Captain in Star Trek Online.
I'm starting to believe Janeway goes out of her way to make Harry suffer
Thank you Mike McMahon! I'm so sad Lower Decks is ending but I'm even happier that Lower Decks exists.
LOWER DECKS! LOWER DECKS! LOWER DECKS!

In announcing this... I am just stunned that this is THE FIRST ACTUAL FIVE YEAR MISSION IN STAR TREK HISTORY!!!!
Gonna need that complete series blu-ray boxset ASAP.
Well Star Trek came back with The Motion Picture, I'm sure they can have
Star Trek: Lower Decks, The Streaming Movie.

Paramount promoting Lower Decks and having shows like this celebrate it but then refusing to give us a Season 6
people like you posting negativity like this. come on.
@@chadhale-d5tExcuse me? The negativity is surely coming from the executives who cancelled a beloved show
Don't worry, I'm seeing reports that they canceled this show celebrating it too. This is apparently the last episode of The Ready Room.
Man, what a ride. I'll miss Lower Decks. A trek that is very Trek-like but also doesn't take itself WAY too seriously.

So sad to not get any more seasons. Such an amazing show.
6 seasons and a movie!!!!
Can't believe they didn't get an actual orion to voice Tendi 😂😂 will miss the show.
Thank you,
I absolutely loved everything about Lower Decks, I really hope more comes.
Huge loss that Lower Decks has ended. The quality of stories they delivered, especially in this final season, were superb.
Thank you so much for been such an amazing, unashamed nerd!
Hopefully there's a spin off show was amazing

We needed more T’Lyn, too!!! I see two spinoffs
Now they need a Lower Decks Movie.
I've loved this series but we needed much more
Another 2 series, potential films
I'll miss this
Oh god Will has a Badgey lapel on his suit jacket
Jerry O'connell at 10:10 I love this guy!
Was hoping for a Sliders reference in his engage warp command 😂
Did he say Spinoff? SPINOFF?!? PLEASE?!?!
If Harry is an ensign in every universe, that means he's an Anchor Being... we need to protect him, or our Timeline is doomed!
Should not have cancelled this show !!!😢😢😢
Yay! I love Wil and the Ready room!!
I'm gonna miss this show, so much

Bring back lower decks. That being said: I will support the cast in any of thier future projects. Also I don't care for Wil Wheaton. So, yeah.
Come on Paramount, live action movie please.
No Gabrielle Ruiz? I am sad.
Sad to see it go but it had a perfect run. Great show from first episode to last.
