I was so inspired by this tutorial I tried out your mica-hol method but instead of using epoxy I flooded the cup with alcohol and then added the mica mixes. Then sealed the cup with clear gloss spray. Mine turned out looking more like a baked glazed cup. I may not have done it right but the outcome was a happy accident. ☺
I'd like to see the interference micas over a black base. This was a fun one I haven't seen at all yet! And when are.they ever 100% what we expect, just have to go with the flow!
I just bought the magic peacock series to try it since I dont have enough interference colors already 😂🤦♀️ and a bunch of other stuff..... i spent my lunch break shopping.... i also had 3 gallons of resin and an amazon box delivered yesterday and uh the resin and more box is supposed to arrive saturday.... I think I have issues..... pretty sure I have 2 more gallons coming as well....
@@RaesTurquoiseTurtle 🤣 I went a little nuts during the holidays when the sales were happening - I have gallons of resin stashed all over the house. Online ordering is waaaaaay too easy. 🤔
This looks awesome!!! I love the shimmer!!! So I have come up with an ordering system for Woode's!!! Im going to go to the category I want ie. micas, inks, whatever and order the 1st 3. That way Im sure to get them all and it should be easy to keep track of. Oh I have that system works lol
Hi again again! So sorry if I’m asking something you said but I’ve rewatched this one a few several times and the one that you did with a black base. So, after you drop the mica-hols…do you seal it and then put the final coat or is that the only coat you put (the one with the mica-hold?) thx so much!
Hi! No problem at all 😊 Ok, in both cases, after I drop on the mica-hols and let the tumbler keep turning all night so the resin is dry to the touch, then I would apply at least one more layer of resin over the entire cup to finish it off.
Another beautiful cup! Question, will making the micahol work with 91% alcohol? I couldn't find any 99% last year so I have 2 large bottles of the 91%.
Well, it was 5 scoops of mica and 5 pipettes of alcohol, but to get the true scope of what that means, in the clip at the end of the video you can see the actual scoop and pipette I use for size reference. If I were to guess at measurements, I’d say about 1/4 teaspoon mica to about 6 or 7 milliliters of alcohol. Those little bottles I put the mica-hols in hold 10 ml total.
Your the first one to ever to answer a question I had. Im just learning how to do this. So thank you for your help. I live in a very small town in southeast oklahoma and cant get a lot of the thinks I need to do crafts. The closest town to get supplies is about 100 miles away. Thank you so much for your help and the things you make on you tub. I love watching you.
99% isn’t mandatory. I expect the 91% available in drugstores would work fine. I happened to have a stash of 99 from back at the beginning of lockdown when I couldn’t find any alcohol in stores at all so I turned to Amazon.
Thank you! It’s funny because I used the gorgeous Holtz pearl alcohol ink colors on a different cup, but in a different way and got a much much brighter look than how this cup with the micas turned out. If you haven’t seen that video, it’s here: th-cam.com/video/YC27yQAKnIg/w-d-xo.html. But it would be really interesting to try 2 cups side by side using the same method for each and comparing one with Holtz pearls and the other with these mica-hols, just to see how each turns out. Thanks for the idea!!
Beautiful definitely Spring
Thank you!

Oooooooh I love it! Looks great!
Thank you!!😊😁
Awww! The mother to my cup. I can tell that the apple didn't fall far from the tree! LOL. I love them both!!
Thank you!! It’s always a gamble that using the same materials in the same order will produce anything remotely similar. 🤣
@@Luxinda I'm sure! Tumblers are nothing if not a challenge. LOL

get some of the little metal balls used for fingernail polish to put in your bottles, and it helps SO much in mixing. (love your videos by the way)
Thanks!!😊

Thank you!
Micahol absolutely love it!!!! Great video love
Thank you! I’m honored!!!
BB’s in the bottle work wonders to mix so when you shake it really mixes and doesn’t change mixture.
Excellent idea - thank you!!
Very pretty.
Thanks!!
Gorgeous!!!! Was glad to see I’m not the only one who does the “tilt” method 🤣
It gets a little crazy tilting on that turner, but I always mess things up when I try to take the arm out of the turner... LOL!
Very pretty!!!
Thanks!!

That is truly Beautiful! Makes me think of a watercolor painting.
Yes, I think so too! Thank you!!
It turned out so nice, going to have to put this technique on my to do list😀💕
Thanks!
I wonder if you could use something like the mini “leaf-blower” to get some movement?
That might work - Great idea!
I'm not sure we overlap in a single group which is really weird when I know we are both in tons! 😂🤷♀️
That is really weird! I guess it speaks to the huge variety of groups on Facebook
Very pretty - mine never turns out - the way it should be - but they do turn out great lol
Thanks! I can’t wait to play around with this some more!

I love your tumblers! Where do you find the Rainbow alcohol ink? I can't find it anywhere. Thank you...:-)
Usually Amazon has it, but also Mr Nola’s Glitter, and Joggles. www.joggles.com/paint-dye-and-ink/marabu-alcohol-inks/marabu-alcohol-ink-rainbow.htm

Thanks! Actually, I just listed it a little while ago. Here’s the link: etsy.me/3w3cafK LOL! Looks like you found it already 😁🥳

Where do you get your little bottles from?
I got these from Amazon. dropper bottles: amzn.to/3vRKFWg
How much 99% alcohol do you use for your mixture & how much mica powder?
Beautiful cup btw
I'd say I'm using a heaping quarter teaspoon of mica and about 8-10 mls of the alcohol.
