I admire Joc's passion as a father. This can't be easy for him and this young man don't understand how blessed he is to have a father that cares. I have never seen this side of Joc but his love for his son is evident.
He is not really a involved father this is why the son feels abandoned by him, pls inform yourself on the circumstances before you comment your admiration for somebody who chases cars, bitches and money and leaves the mothers and children behind
I understood Joc’s frustration. His son was doing way too much and the reality of a person losing their life wasn’t sinking in. Also, the analogy that Joc used simply confused his son’s thought process. What Joc was trying to convey went over his head and from there it all went left

My man Joc. I know how frustrating it can be when you are just trying to protect your own and they are not listening. He loves that boy. Much respect to him.
Damn. Just disrespectful. This boy clearly don’t know what people would give to have a present father or their father back. Imagine if those bullets got your father.. what then? But it’s okay that someone else’s father gets hit? I pray for this young mans protection especially when he makes these poor and reckless decisions.
This is why most Africans that live in the diaspora send their kids back home to be raised during their teenage years. Where I come from You dear not speak back at your father like that. This is the highest level of disrespect towards a parent
This young man did not have a present father. His mother said that Joc was on the road for three months at a time, mind you making other babies with other women in the whole time.
I respect Joc because his son is disrespectful and your father just looking out for you,so give his ass to the streets and God forbide nothing happens to him....He will jeopardize your father business he don't care and you get tired after a point tryna tell him right from wrong Jmo
Fatimah and Joc raised a good son. I know his son personally. I saw this scene and was devastated. I know reality shows have them to do extra. The Amoni I know is not the one we see here anymore. Very respectful young man. He was and is going through young adult life. They eventually listen. We as parents just can’t give up like Joc stated. When he takes his break, he comes to my office and talk. Amoni is a sweetheart! Trust me, he was listening to his dad.
He was listening. I didn’t see him being disrespectful at all. It just seems like they don’t have a traditional father-son relationship. Like they have a friendship more than anything… that is probably why Amoni was communicating with Joc the way he was, while Joc was trying to communicate as father and son. I have 3 sons and one thing I have learned is to listen to your kids as much as you want them to listen to you. That way you can navigate through these moments of disconnect/misunderstanding. You can’t allow yourself to get emotional because then follows irrationality. I have yet to meet an irrational person who makes good decisions.
Joc ain't have to do allat doe to see his frustration tbh I would have cut my dad off for a good lil while no calls no text not even a pop up like ill cut ties for a while n just stay away once you feel like u gotta put ya hands on me its nothing to talk about
This is what happens when you aren’t consistent in your sons life. You can’t play father when you want. Yal forget Joc created a lot of broken homes with a lot of children and a lot of baby mamas. Joc is totally justified in his feelings of frustration towards his son's behavior. However, coming at his son with aggression and violence, especially when the son is hot tempered as well only further instils hostility and feelings of alienation within his son about their relationship. They desperately need therapy and a teen anger management mentor to mediate their conversations and get on track towards a healthy relationship, aswell as his son hopefully living a productive life out of trouble.
As a parent too this is one of the hardest talks to have with your children because they don’t get it. You’ve lived through this & don’t want to see them down that path, never give up on your kids they need our guidance & love.
I totally understand Yung Joc's frustration with his son and he is demonstrating love to his son but his son is too naive to comprehend it and see it but will one day see it.
Sometimes your children have to learn the hard way and there’s nothing you can say or do. It’s mostly the privileged kids that act up since they grew in an environment that everything is handed to them so feel like they got and know it all. You know for a fact Joc’s children never had to hustle for nothing because he was always the father figure that provided.
As a parent I feel Joc. 😌 I had to fight the streets to save my child, I didn't care about nothing else and I didn't give up on my child. Now my child is married, and a business owner with no kids.
I feel for them both, but Joc is at the point where he has to give him to God and pray for the best. When a person (child or not) doesn't care about what happens to themselves, they definitely won't care about what happens to those around them.
This is true. He'll drive himself sick trying to get his son to see what he doesn't care to see. I love that Joc is trying. He's my favorite character on the show. It's hard to see this struggle. As a mom of sons I have been here.
sometimes it takes that prayer and God allowing certain things to happen for people to see and grasp that wisdom and knowledge. i just pray that God has mercy on joc sons soul and that it doesn’t take a near death situation for him to realize what joc was trying to tell him.
Damn thats a real moment right there... its gets like that when these boys grow up and start feeling like they bigger than everything. You gotta bring them back down a few notches.

Giving the prison system another one of our kids. It seems like Joc was. too, They never learn to talk out their issues, if he’s the father, but won’t listen and jumps on you instead. That’s why these kids act a fool in the streets. As parents we mess up sometimes, and Joc definitely did. That boy loves and respects him, but when you do things like this it only backfires. I know these kids can get on your nerves, especially when all you want to do is help them. Violence will only push that boy out into the streets. I put myself in a timeout when I feel like I’m getting too angry, until I can come back and talk like a normal person. The screaming and talking loud never gets through to anyone. Nothing gets resolved or learned. What did the boy learn from this? Now the kid has lost some respect for him, that he may never get back. Beating up your kids is not the way.
And the audacity of parents that think respect is deserved no matter how they treat their children. Your child is a product of how you raise them and how you as a parent behave around them and also the type of people you keep around them.
@persidemesa74 don't say that too loud.... you know parents are entitled to their property (I mean kids) because they put a roof over their head and fed them.... those are the 2 requirements they need to follow to be automatically respected by their kids.... his children were clothed and fed so of course he and every other entitled parent feels this is disrespect when in fact its someones child HURT especially seeing their dad hurt other women MULTIPLE TIMES ON NATIONAL TV

While I understand and agree where you are coming from you also like you said Amoni doesn't respect or value what his father is trying to tell and sink deep down into him clearly he is hard-headed to life and all Joc is trying to do protect his son or reminding him about the danger out there on streets but because Amoni refuses to understand what his father is trying to tell him Joc let his anger emotion got the best of him and took it out on his son. That is to show that it is really intense and like you said relationship is the only way to fix that.
One of the hardest things to do as a cop is to tell a parent that their child is gone due to violence. I respect what Joc is trying to do cause not many young men have fathers that care enough to try to guide them the right way.
Why can't they just listen to us. Instead they want to argue like you don't know nothing. Sometimes you have to let them go. They're be hearing your voice in their heads when something happens.
Don’t say us. I have 0 issues with my teenage sons. Kids don’t listen to ignorant ass emotionally unintelligent and unstable ass parents who preach one thing then display another. Just like Joc saying he’s doing all this to keep his son from the violent lifestyle but then goes and attacks his son for expressing his opinion. Just like Joc telling his son to stay away from bad friends while being a bad friend and exploiting this for a check. Parents like Joc aid to the prison population. If your child can’t voice an opinion without you feeling threatened to violence you have mental issues that are far beyond your children.
I love him being a father. His son is in the I am living my life stage, and he thinks his father is giving unrealistic solutions as he has no idea to HIS life. He is stubborn right now he won't hear his father

His posturing and mannerisms toward Joc was as if he was talking to one of his “homeboys” and not his father. These youngsters think they can handle anything even when the results they’re producing in life is proving them wrong. “I didn’t do that man anything” told Joc all that he needed to know.

@@HtownDrip Great for you. Your singular experience literally changes nothing I said. You can’t preach wanting to protect your son from violence and then be violent with him. Instead of him figuring out better ways to communicate with his son, he put his hands on him(which is violent) and his son left saying he’s done dealing with him and is probably going to lean even more on his bad influence friends. So what did Joc actually accomplish???? How did putting his hands on him “save him??”
Some of these kids need a ass whooping because parents be letting them slide with anything so they think they can get away with anything when thats not the case at all he did wat needed to be done unless you rather have some random doing that to your kid it could get worse

As the adult, Joc didn't handle this situation in the right way. I mean what he said makes sense. If your mama was dating a man that caused her to lose the house you’d be pissed and ready to get rid of dude. But you don’t see where he’s coming from when he says the people you have around you are trying to jeopardize your dads business
It's painful because you can FEEL the love emanating from him for his son. Young man just doesn't get it yet and I hope he does before it's too late
As a single mother of a 20 year old black man. I feel this in my gut. Good for you joc. Standing up for your children while they are this age is hard but necessary because something in their brain has not clicked on yet. They need guidance ❤️
That was a good father-and-son talk right here. Except the fight.
After Joc threw the chair and he and his son got into a brawl. That Freaked Me Out.
Exactly. I didn’t think things would get worse after he threw the chair.
@@Im_Monique Don't think him not flinching has anything to do with respect, just means he not scary. Him standing up and positioning himself to fight was when he showed he don't fuks with his pops.
@@jamaljamal6169 you right
@@Im_Monique If your dad threw a chair and you felt the need to move then there's something more going on with yall other than respecting each other. Just saying fam.
Yea me too. This scene was raw and real! I stopped watching love and hip hop cause it got boring and fake but this wasn't fake. I got scared for a minute I didn't think it would escalate further 😕 I think they need counseling and prayer. Maybe take a break off the show and heal
Kudos to him for caring for his son and trying to teach him to be safe.
He said, meet him in the club and it’s going down.
This is unhealthy as hell. And all y’all saying “I JusT SeE A FaThER ProTecIn HiS Son” is that all you see? I see a son who doesn’t listen to his father because he doesn’t respect and value what his father has to say. The only way to have that is through relationship. The fact that Joc got angry and lunged at his son is unhealthy as hell, and is gonna make the relationship EVEN WORSE. We gotta lot of growing to do as a people.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its gonna make him hate joc more
Facts
While I understand and agree where you are coming from you also like you said Amoni doesn't respect or value what his father is trying to tell and sink deep down into him clearly he is hard-headed to life and all Joc is trying to do protect his son or reminding him about the danger out there on streets but because Amoni refuses to understand what his father is trying to tell him Joc let his anger emotion got the best of him and took it out on his son.
That is to show that it is really intense and like you said relationship is the only way to fix that.
THANK YOU
One of the hardest things to do as a cop is to tell a parent that their child is gone due to violence.
This brings tears to my eyes 🥺 because so many fathers walk away from their children and here is one that is passionate about fatherhood & will do anything to protect his children. I respect him so much ‼️💯 I understand his frustration. He just needs this young man to listen so he won’t become just another statistic 🙏🏾
"Never let ya mouth overload ya ass" 😂 my Daddy always said to me!!
Oh man I can feel his frustration , his son thinks everything is a jk and thinks he can control everybody
Joc Did Anything That Any Father Who Cares About Their Child Would Do! I Commend Him. His Son Tryna Live A Life He Ain’t Ready For.
Foreal bro
Back on day boy we would have got our ass tour up lol
This love is needed in every household. Listen to your damn parents!!!!!!
Agreed.
@@oneforall8161 | Thank you!
Agreed!! His son kept yelling over him & wasn’t really listening. I think Joc was right❤️
😂😂😂😂
Exactly!!!
0:01 brother dropped FACTS ON JUMP😭😭😭💔💯
Lol at him saying you gone swing on me when he running his mouth recklessly
Joc owe his son a real apology. Bucking at your child like that doesn't make them listen, it breaks their hearts and makes them feel like everyone in the world is against them and they have nobody. Never get this angry with your child, the day you cross that line is the day you can never tell your kid anything ever again. Respect all out the window
THANK YOU! Once you cross the line to treating your kid like someone off the treat it’s a wrap. Now if Joc was defending himself then that’s different. But Joc was frustrated, got in his face and swung first. Now he’s about to go look for a father figure in the wrong people
yes yes yes yes
I agree. I’m surprised at all the comments acting like this is normal, acceptable behavior. Children deserve better.
@@nik-at-nite and it wasn't no fatherly push he ran up on him like he was another n*gga in the street that speaks volumes in itself I wouldn't listen to my dad either I'd be thinking this fool don't even like me and he's my dad lol
@@GeezLouise1000 people getting beat up by they parents like it's okay, it's NOT. it's demeaning and so wrong
I understand the passion Joc has however you cannot expect people to listen if you can’t have a conversation without wanting to put your hands on someone…family or not
You dont attack your child. That's it. Imagine how his son is feeling like my dad tried to fight me???
(His child) let him be a man who cares about his kid…
Man sit yo ass down some times you got to do what you got to do

Foh bro wanna be grown that’s what happens
Trying to fight your son won't solve anything just set you back in your father son relationship.
His posturing and mannerisms toward Joc was as if he was talking to one of his “homeboys” and not his father. These youngsters think they can handle anything even when the results they’re producing in life is proving them wrong. “I didn’t do that man anything” told Joc all that he needed to know.
I understand he was frustrated but I wanna know how he expects to protect his son from violence while literally displaying more violence. He invalidated his whole message by attacking him.
Shut up my Dad did the same thing and I became a police officer, he wasn't being violent with his son he was trying to save him.
They did the right thing blacking out the fight
I do agree that wasn't something the world needed to see, like a lot of other mess they play, however I can't lie about the fact I wanted to see it. Jbh
@@ieshathompson59 lol right but it's good thing they blocked it out.. My daddy or momma would been knocked me out just for raising my voice
As the adult, Joc didn't handle this situation in the right way. His temper took over and led him to throwing chairs and physically fighting his son instead of having a conversation that could have resulted in understanding or hopefully a solution. They need a professional therapist to counsel them and help mediate this situation and address the deeper issues that are present between them.
Exactly! And please realize Joc is literally arguing with his son about a whole nother grown ass man about something he didn’t even do.
He shouldn't have made the conversation his storyline
@@kellyjackson3629he’s trying to secure his job

Tf are u talking about?! Counseling is not gonna help a child that think 💭 he knows everything!!! His response was RIGHT!!! Sometimes you have to let YOUR KIDS KNOW YOULL FUCK THEM UP BEFORE U LET SOMEONE TAKE THEIR LIFE
I wish my weak ass pops was like Joc . He showing real love .
I was talking to my son's boxing coach explaining that I was hard on my son because I needed him to be prepared for the world and was scared what would happen if I was not. And he looked at me and said something that completely changed my perspective. He said " I hear this a lot from parents, the WORLD is going to teach your son how tough it is, you should be the soft place for your child land."
