Since they started out being a hip hop group most of the songs were rap heavy but as they have changed their sound throughout the years, the rapline and vocal line have a good balance. Just as you've heard rapline only songs, there are also vocal line only songs and there are group songs with the vocal line being more dominant as well. Check out "Magic Shop"

Baepsae is super fun live and their dance practice for this is funny too. This word comes up in their song NOT TODAY. Also pay attention to N posadae explanation, you will need that explanation if you ever listen/watch to DOPE.
@@JohnReavesLive Hopefully, you get to see the live where they are wearing the black and gold outfits with torn jeans. It's earlier in their career, but it's iconic. P.S. They did this song in their recent concerts too as ARMY loves the choreo.
Just want to put it out there that they actually were not a big band at the time they made the song. BTS have been fiercely political and bold since their inception when they were complete underdogs. They’ve repeatedly risked backlash and even blacklisting from people in power. While it’s nice when someone with a large platform decides to speak up about injustice, it’s all the more impressive to me that they did not wait until having a large platform to do so; they grew in fame and influence while making socially conscious music.
^^^ I totally agree with this! And honestly I had no idea they hadn’t made it yet when they wrote this! Makes it even better for me knowing they proved themselves right!
Crowtits! We don't mind long videos if it's BTS. Hope you'll react to them more, like the whole group, because they're all uniquely good. I like how you get to react to the explanation. Most of BTS' songs ,when you hear it's fun like their B-sides, such as Go Go, Am I wrong, Anpanman but, it has a deeper meaning.
All of those B-sides are on the list, I promise!! And I've got a vocal line & full group song lined up for him next and then some intro vids! Thanks for the suggestions!! 💜
Baepsaaaaae! Crow Tit!! Such a fun song but also such a typical deep meaning song from BTS. They delve into the relatable and usually never do “trivial” subjects - everything with BTS has a meaning. Good reaction! 💜
I think you have the perception that rap line is more important because you only checked out rap line songs in more recent songs, the vocal line actually has more parts than the rap line, cuz they're more pop oriented to answer your question, all seven members are equally important :)
Yes, this continues to be relevant today. Not that it was just as hard, because S.Korea, at least at the time, it was like oppression. The president at the time was not impeached yet.
Not only they have good musics but Bunch of their songs really have deep meaning and very relatable for us, that's why they're become bigger and bigger as more people know them. Even some of their haters finally become their fans when they finally know BTS well, it's me, one of them 😂
Rapline does most of the heavy lifting regarding creative direction. If you're talking about song distribution between them and the vocal line it's different from one song to another.
To answer your question at the beginning, it depends on the type of song. If it's more melodic and vocal-heavy, then the vocal line is more prominent (songs like 'paradise' or 'life goes on') but the hype songs and more hip hop heavy songs will have more of the rap line taking the lead. Hope this helps.
BTS live concert performances are where they shine in all their glory. And this one is where they going crazy hype and aggressive. it makes this whole song come to life. It is fun to listen to it on record, but live it is unbeatable with its energy and tenacity. By the end of it you ready to throw punches and start kicking people ready for revolution lol
Ahh they have more vocal heavy tracks and also songs by vocal line alone without rap line, but also more hip hop it this style like you said that vocal in choures.
Vocalists and rappers are like the perfect balance yes rappers has higher credits on writing and producing but Vocalist did write Nd produce masterpieces too also vocal line has 3 dancers of dance line also jungkook the main vocalist has such big role in making bts music he does guide tracks , adlibs , harmonizing, replace if someone is sick etc he does this for both vocalists and rappers
Crow-tits! Just love your reactions…..as a 66 year old metal head i accidentally fell down the BTS rabbit hole during the COVID pandemic. I appreciate your joining me in my dive. I don’t know what it is about BTS but I’m addicted…
:) for real thank you so much for sticking through til the end! I love the journey through the rabbit hole so far and love that Ive met so many great people in the process :) Love that you're a metal head too!!!!!
It honestly depends on the song really. If the song is a more hip hop heavy song, you'll notice the rap line more and if its let say a more melodic song, you'll notice the vocal line more. And as you might know, they have a very wide range of genres, so everyone gets their time to shine i would say. hope you can do the live version of this coz its lit! I really enjoyed this reaction :)
You are probably aware of this by now, but in case others are not: Baepsae was released in 2015. They were most decidedly *not* a big band at the time, and in fact were struggling against massive organized hate and industry backlash for being outsiders. They have always been unflinchingly and uniquely fearless in addressing social issues, government and societal critiques, facing their haters, etc with their music, even when they risked very common government blacklisting and other backlash. Their very first debut song was speaking out about pressures on kids and their generation not being able to follow their dreams (No More Dream.) They are artists and they have something to say.
I think ARMYs and ornithologists are probably the only people on earth who know what "crowtits" are... ;) They are the cutest birds, though, and ARMYs have a very soft spot for them...
@@JohnReavesLive Oh gosh I must have missed it. I will check it out! Love your reactions and how much respect you throw BTS’s way! You understand how much work it takes.

As far as this being rap heavy, Army tend to give a guiding hand to the tracks the reactor has stated they enjoy. There are so many songs that split pretty equally with all parts. Sub units of just vocal line as well. But since you've expressed a preference toward rap the majority of Army watching will try to refer to those songs that showcase a more hiphop feel. If you ask for a full vocal track specifically they'll help you out 🤣👌
@@JohnReavesLive it's pretty funny sometimes! I've seen another rap lyricist reactor see like 20 videos of the rap heavy songs and suddenly see a vocal solo and spaz out haha or one reactor asked why there were only jimin compilation videos and not the other members, maybe jimin was like the JT of Nsync 🤣 but army just noticed he pointed jimin out more often in the mv so kept giving those videos. 🤣 army has a lot of fun shocking people with what they ''think'' they know after 15 mvs. When you have someone who loves Butter era BTS but is then shown Joke and The Last 🤣🤣 anyway there's no wrong way to go but definitely communicate if there's a specific thing you're curious about. Enjoying your journey!! 💜 having a personal Army at your disposal is also 👌🥳
I HIGHLY recommend checking out a live version of this song as well. As amazing as BTS is in the studio versions, LIVE is where they TRULY SHINE!!!! And always remember that they are singing/rapping LIVE WHILE dancing their asses off. :)
Crow tits 😉 they use this wold few times in lyrics and if someone didn't get to this song yet, and explenation, is usually schooked "why crow tits", "What it is", so yeah you have this behind you now if you see it again you will know, actually in one of cyphers Suga use it, wow I can't remeber which one. In "Not today" they also say it, say to crow tits to unite, in this song they also "use" quote from Marin Luther King in lyrics.... Baepsae have great lives, if you are interested.

You probably already have these recommendations but Sugas solo work as Agust D is amazing. For a good look at what they are like as a group ‘On’ Kinetic Manifesto is a must watch. Also Black Swan. Lyrics are amazing. I believe that in Korea the producer is also a songwriter so it’s impressive. Watching xCelestes introduction to the 7 members is a must watch.
Crow- tits ARMY does not mind long videos trust me. BTS have over 300+ songs I think people are giving you more of the rap heavy songs then the vocal one given the type of music you listen to. I am going to suggest Magic Shop has more of an even distribution of vocal and some rap. I recommend the live version with English subtitles. BTS are always better live so you really should check out the live version of Baepsae.

11:25 angel, that IS the same 🫂 BTS got lucky to get slots for earlier shows AND at their expense and time. It's the same. It finally got to a point where Suga said that the system or "the status quo" isn't really beneficial to the artist because they spending hours and hours being at these shows. The last straw was atvthe height of covid-lockdown when they decided that these shows aren't even worth it because the people they make their art for couldn't even be present so they stopped going because .. dun dun dun... these shows are exploitative and has low return for artists. 🔥
Ok, the lyrics video totally messed up this one part at 6:07 . The actual lyrics are: (We’re the try-hards/crow-tits/Beapsea) we meet your expectations. (We’re the try-hards) we’ve earned that name. (We’re the try-hards) let’s all just get together. (We’re the try-hards) try-hards.
Hi, I am back. Good reaction, ty. So the group was hip hop during debut. So rap line is vital. But vocal line shines too and they mix it up. But they might have more hip hop songs because at the core they love hip hop. So glad u liked it. Love the fact your doing a thorough review of the song. This one is so catchy i love it. They sang about a topic many were avoiding. They always rocked the boat. This was an old song. I don't think they were that huge back than. Actually another Army said that the song full name is both =Baepsae/Silver Spoon. Hugs.-NY USA 2019 Army 💜#Crow-tits
"Crow it." At the begining you ask if the rap line is bigger than the vocal line, in fact it will depend of the song, in some songs, like this one, they will have 3/4 of the song and some time they will only had 3 or 4 lines.
@@JohnReavesLive good Idea personaly I will recommend "house of card", "the truth untold" or "zero o'clock" You can alsow react to "film out" it's a group performance but more focus on vocal
I'm sure you've heard this already lol but there are rapline songs, and songs with just the vocal line, subunit songs etc. I prefer the rapline but one of my favourite BTS songs is The Truth Untold, which is just vocal line, and another is Jamais Vu which only has Jin, Jungkook, and J-Hope on the track, while my favourite soloist is probably Suga/Agust D. Rapline plays a big part is some of their biggest songs (by biggest I mean ARMY favourites like Anpanman, not their English singles that blew up like Butter and Dynamite lol) and most of the production, but they all have their hand in producing and writing to some extent, while Suga and RM probably take the cake. Jungkook likely has the most lines out of anybody for OT7 songs though bc he's the main vocalist. Sometimes the rappers are on the song but all you hear is a "yeah," or "uh," pretty much lol so nobody really shines more than anybody else. You'll have to get a better idea by listening to their albums. Or just watch some music videos... I'd start with Blood Sweat and Tears, Black Swan, Save Me, ON Kinetic Manifesto
ohhhhh!!! I'm honestly really stoked to hear more of vocal line just to know more about their range and stuff! I think Megan has those on here spreadsheet, if not I'm sure shell add them!!! for real thank you for the suggestion and the info :)

Crow tit. 🤣 They weren't that big when this song was written and it was kind of a risk, which makes it even cooler. BTS has a depth that has been lacking in entertainment for a while. Enjoy the rabbit hole. 😘💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
BTW!! starting from here 6:09, the lyrics are wrong. they are actually saying "(We’re crow-tits) We never disappoint (We’re crow-tits) We live up to our name (We’re crow-tits) Let’s live together (We’re crow-tits) Crow-tits" This video creator copy pasted the first chorus into the last chorus :/
What's interesting is that BTS wasn't a big band when they made this song. They've always sung about this stuff, even when the media and the Big Three music companies tried to keep them out of everything. That's why they resorted to connecting with fans on Twitter and TH-cam because they had no other choice, but it turns out it was good for them and they were able to build such a trusting relationship with ARMY. I've never been part of a group where you stan a band that stans you back lol The fact that Jungkook tattooed our name on his knuckles even says a lot. But...I won't go into it a whole lot because I see you've been into them on here for about 10 months now. I will say, however, that it is sweet, sweet revenge to know that their company literally started from the bottom and are now more successful than the Big Three. Yet they still somehow get shit on.
I've watched Koreans react to this song and some of them cried because of how much they can relate to it. It might be a banger but its actually very sad.
Crow-tit.😉 It's not really a long vid. Many Army watch one hour videos without problemes😄 You'll see it if ever you decide on doing an Award show reaction!! You will be mind-blown!! Asian Award shows are biiig, and BTS is putting a level above that!!!
Dope MV is recommended. If there's a official music video with english subs, it's actually the best video to react to. If none, then that's when you will look for a lyric video. And for me, as someone who's fond of watching BTS reactions, explanation vids are not really necessary on 'some' of their songs unless it has culture preferences or it's too deep, like Spring Day, Ddaeng, UGH, etc. But it's still up to you. I know you like meaningful songs and you really want to know the meaning behind it. ARMYs are going to watch till the end. 💜 This is just a suggestion. Don't get me wrong. Follow your heart :)
:) heck yes! for real thank you! I'm going to for sure watch some of the actual MV I think they put a ton of work into them so I would love to see what those look like :) I'm just a huge lyric nerd lol so the explanation video just help me really get into the songs more, but I agree there's probably some I dont need an explanation to :) thank for the suggestion!
for sure did the dance practice in a later video I don't know where the live show I saw was from but they CRUSHED it!!! hope youre having a great day Sandy!!!

Heck yes! thank you for watching!
Magic shop is on the list!
That makes sense :) I think Magic shop is on the list too!!! stoked to hear it!
Magic shop is produced and written mostly by jungkook
@@BtsyearJK2025 He did a good job, it's one of my favorites, I hope to hear more songwriting and production from him, dying for him to drop his mixtape.
You must see hip hop lover by BTS
The rapline raps are hard......
And the vocal line vocals are killing....
It’s on the list! Thanks for the suggestion!!
@@meganlisenbee1183 oh that's nice ☺
I'm so stoked to hear this song!!!!!
Baepsae is super fun live and their dance practice for this is funny too. This word comes up in their song NOT TODAY. Also pay attention to N posadae explanation, you will need that explanation if you ever listen/watch to DOPE.
Live & Dance Practice will be coming within the next week or so! Dope is also on the list, so keep an eye out!
heck yes!!! stoked to hear that song and see the live show to Baepsae!
LOL YES!!!!! thank you so much!!!! and for real I will be doing a ton of these reactions so I hope to see you in future comments :)
John your channel is blowing up! I'm so proud of you and all the progress you're making! keep it up!
Aaron for real thank you so much!!!!
Baepsaaaaae! Crow Tit!! Such a fun song but also such a typical deep meaning song from BTS. They delve into the relatable and usually never do “trivial” subjects - everything with BTS has a meaning. Good reaction! 💜
I really love they put so much into their lyrics!
I think you have the perception that rap line is more important because you only checked out rap line songs
in more recent songs, the vocal line actually has more parts than the rap line, cuz they're more pop oriented
to answer your question, all seven members are equally important :)
Really looking forward to broadening my Vocal Line knowledge! Whats one of your favorite songs that has the full band?
@@JohnReavesLive *Fake love* or *Blood sweat and tears* 👀
This was in 2016, about 6 years ago. Love this song.
Is it not crazy how its still very relevant today!?
@@JohnReavesLive Yes BTS songs are timeless. They are always relevant. Like Tomorrow. It is relevant for explaining my whole life till this day.
@@JohnReavesLive yes like I still can listen to danger 2014 song and can't control my self from jamming to it bts music is full of masterpieces
Even some of their haters finally become their fans when they finally know BTS well, it's me, one of them 😂
lol well im getting very pulled into their style and honestly im not upset about it LOL! really stoked to continue to be impressed by them!
Your channel has grown by a thousand just during my binge watching of your BTS reactions 🥹🫰🏼
lol right!? honestly im blown away and very stoked to see what happens next :)
Rapline does most of the heavy lifting regarding creative direction. If you're talking about song distribution between them and the vocal line it's different from one song to another.
Ah that makes sense! they are all very talented!
LOVE THIS SONG
This song loves you!
To answer your question at the beginning, it depends on the type of song. If it's more melodic and vocal-heavy, then the vocal line is more prominent (songs like 'paradise' or 'life goes on') but the hype songs and more hip hop heavy songs will have more of the rap line taking the lead. Hope this helps.
for real thank you for the answer! :) really looking forward to hearing more of their stuff!
Great song!!
Right!?
Love this song and it is the song that got me into BTS.
its so freaking catchy!
@@JohnReavesLive yup
BTS live concert performances are where they shine in all their glory. And this one is where they going crazy hype and aggressive. it makes this whole song come to life. It is fun to listen to it on record, but live it is unbeatable with its energy and tenacity. By the end of it you ready to throw punches and start kicking people ready for revolution lol
Dance practice and live performances will be here very soon.
Lol heck yes!!!! I’m so stoked to hear the live performance!!!
Ahh they have more vocal heavy tracks and also songs by vocal line alone without rap line, but also more hip hop it this style like you said that vocal in choures.
I really am use to and like that style of song writing but am stoked to hear the more VL heavy songs!
He really does stand out to me as someone who I’ve seen or heard more even though I’ve only seen Rap line right now
Reaction for the live is coming very soon.
For real thank you so much!!! Live reaction should be out in the next few hours!
You are probably aware of this by now, but in case others are not:
Baepsae was released in 2015.
Their very first debut song was speaking out about pressures on kids and their generation not being able to follow their dreams (No More Dream.)
They are artists and they have something to say.
You catched the overall meaning of the song pretty fast haha All their early songs are extremely political.. and rly good.
lol I love lyrics to be honest! and I write all the time so I nerd out quite a bit to other musicians lyrics :)
You should watch the dance practice to this song . It’s awesome
ohhhhh, that is on the list! doing it before the live reaction coming this week!
11:00 it absolutely does happen in the corporate world. What do you think an internship is?

Bahahaha very possible!! They are super cute though!

This is why BTS writes so many comforting songs .The birth rate in S Korea is about 1%

Really I am so stoked to be hearing more of their stuff leading up to it and hopefully watch some introduction videos too!
If you ask for a full vocal track specifically they'll help you out 🤣👌
Crow-tits lol
I’ve got a ton of full band songs for him, don’t worry!
@@meganlisenbee1183 😄 💜 🥳
ahhhhh!! lol it all makes sense now!!! you're all so helpful and informative and supportive!

Ohhhh it’s coming out… Tomorrow!! Live reaction and also my first dance rehearsal reaction too!
They have songs that are only performed by the rapline, vocal line, sub unit, solo, & of course the group.
Really looking forward to hearing more full band stuff
Crow tits😁
BTS makes us open minded and knowlegable. I came to learn a lot of things after encountering BTS. Thank you and I love your reactions.💜
Love this Song 💜💜
Same 🙌🙌
Baepsae was released in 2015, two years after debut, they weren’t big back then
It’s even cooler to me they went that big back then and then they blew up! How cool they proved themselves right!
Baespae dance practice and live are coming soon, don't worry!
LOL!!!! glad you stayed for the whole video! and heck yes! I feel like this was a rite of passage LOL for sure going to do a reaction to the live show soon!! (this week!)
I really want to hear some more Agust D songs and I’ve heard so many people talk about Black Swan, I really can’t wait to hear it!
The Live version and dance practice are coming soon!
Heck yes!!!! Thank you so much for sticking around til the end!
Very much so looking forward to hearing more of their full band songs and this Live! :) I'm such a fan of live performances!
A ‘baepsae’ aka crow-tit is a little fluffy short-legged bird, but I guess the explanation will have already told you that😆
lol its such a funny name for a bird and then to use it in a song is a masterpiece!
@@JohnReavesLive I hear you! I’m familiar with English/European birds called tits (blue tits, great tits etc- stop sniggering😂😂😂) but it still caught me by surprise and confused me the first time it saw it in lyrics - they also reference baepsaes in Not Today.
I was here until the end. If you like Suga like I do checkout his mix tape under the name AGUST D . He has same amazing stuff. RM also has 2 solo mis tapes and j hope has one too

Thank you so much for being here the whole video :)
@@JohnReavesLive looking forward to more cool reactions
The actual lyrics are:
(We’re the try-hards/crow-tits/Beapsea) we meet your expectations. (We’re the try-hards) we’ve earned that name. (We’re the try-hards) let’s all just get together. (We’re the try-hards) try-hards.
yeah I noticed in the Explanation video they were totally different! thanks for catching that here too!
Whoever made the colour coded vid really phoned it in on the last bit huh
LOL you said it totally right the first time, then messed it up the second!
lol as is tradition!
Jimins high voice>>>>
It is insane!!
"Crow it."
At the begining you ask if the rap line is bigger than the vocal line, in fact it will depend of the song, in some songs, like this one, they will have 3/4 of the song and some time they will only had 3 or 4 lines.
🙌🙌
Really stoked to hear some more of vocal line stuff
@@JohnReavesLive good Idea personaly I will recommend "house of card", "the truth untold" or "zero o'clock"
You can alsow react to "film out" it's a group performance but more focus on vocal
@@hobiscrap1947 I’ve heard so much about house of cards! Really stoked to hear it
@@JohnReavesLive the live of this song is just something else

The way Hoseok's hidden vocals in the first part is the craziest part for many of us. Since I heard the audio only of the hidden vocals, nothing has been the same. Don't do it lol

I doubt any of us knew what a Baeopase was before becoming Bangtan ARMY lol isn't it cute though? the baepsae birdie lol

This is just a suggestion.
