There are few drummers that nail that 12 O'Clock position consistently be it the snare, kick, or any other component. Kenny Aronoff, Stewart Copeland. Emmanuelle Caplette are 3 I can think of, and now this very impressive young lady Yoyoka. Not only that, she has the groove on everything she plays down perfectly. "The Ocean" cover by Zeppelin she does is so good that even Robert Plant was impressed. I played drums for over 30 years and cannot come close to this girl's skill level.
What a band! This is mind blowing. I love the way Yoyo and Lisa X fit in seamlessly with these top of the range musicians. Could you imagine this group doing a tour? I’d pay good money to watch that. Thank you all. Pat 🏴

That is one of the fascinating occurrences when Yoyoka chooses a song or genre to play from. I find myself liking her interpretations of songs that would have me immediately switching the dial if I chanced to hear them played by the original artist that made them hits. None of that posing or "showmanship" that is already old the first time through. I believe it's been lovingly termed "the Yoyoka effect" by her fans. Whatever it is, it works for me.
Agree 100% about the song and the band Europe. The song is an example of how the eighties were a rough let down from the seventies. But, just like RATM, Yoyoka is always interesting to see make some upgrades. Oh and I absolutely like this singer here, for some reason. He is much more listenable.. Anyways I have a feeling our drum hero here is being the perfect bandmate, and this is not a song that she is over the moon about like certain Led Zeppelin songs let’s say. I have a feeling that this Setlist was a somewhat democratic process, and not a dictatorial one. Hopefully this year she will do the last song on the first Led Zeppelin album, “How Many More Times.”

I am one who never really liked this song. However, I find myself coming listening to this song over and over with this rendition. The duet between Satsuma3042 and Lisa-X stands out and thrills me. As with all of the other songs from your 12th birthday, what great musicians!

You will be attracted to the sound of Mr. Masuda's keyboard in the introductory part and will be captivated by this performance at once. Yoyoka is in control of the whole song, and the sound of the snare really feels good and activates my head.
Great band, great vibe. Yoyos sticking is bonkers, the height she strikes from, then so much dynamic range I'd love to see her play something like highway to hell. Simple in theory, demanding in practice.

Ever since this cover came out in Oct. I made comments a few times that I wish this is shown on this channel (YOYOKA's) also but it took just about a month that to happen ( I don't know if they read my pleas ). In the mean time, Li-sa got a biggest benefit out of this b-day bash due to the fact that this song is wildly popular around the world AND incredible work by this gangs !!!😁 I hope YOYOKA still attract more new and long-time viewers here. As for more covers, she has 2 more covers for us, one of that is " KILL THE KING " by Rainbow, another one is some Japanese song. I'm looking forward to that upload !!!😄

It doesn’t matter how many times I’ve watched this, it still leaves me in awe (as for most of Yoyoka’s vids). I would bet that this whole birthday celebration would be unforgettable (experience) for the other musicians and a highlight in Yoyoka’s career. It’s like her professional debut to the world. Her 8-year old iconic GTBT’s vid was her introduction. What a terrific job all around. 👍🏼🤘🏼🥁🎹🎤🎸 The only ‘criticism’ I would have is that the (whole celebration) video had too many closeups instead of the whole band performing. And didn’t pan to Yoyoka when she was doing the more intricate fills.
