@@MrAdamsanto87Me too, Scotty Kilmer is okay but I really don’t like his clickbait videos. This guy’s videos are super calming and I love watching them before bed.
Love this short type of video, quick and to the point but still good to watch. Hopefully the sensor just needs cleaned or maybe the MAF sensor is needing a clean too if it's running rich? All the best for the holidays!
Man this reminds me of my 99 4Runner. Similar LTFT values and everything. I replaced my O2 sensors/replaced my MAF sensor and also have done spark plugs since purchasing the vehicle and it hasn't fixed the problem. It runs good as is but I still would rather have it fixed so it can run as intended. Have been leaning towards it being a fuel pressure regulator issue but I havent gotten around to swappin it. Excited to see what you find with your rig! Cheers
had a 2003 rav4 2.0 awd. went through o2 sensors one after another until i replaced all 4. they do fail with age, so if it's giving rich or lean codes just go ahead and replace them as they go. NTK or Denso sensors will be your best option.
Hey man the p017 codes can also be MAF sensor related - if it comes back try cleaning it. Noticed calculated load was almost 40% but you were parked idling Also you can check “freeze frame” data when the light is on to see what the all the sensor values were when the light tripped Good luck and happy holidays 🎉
I've also got an O2 sensor project lined up for after Christmas, upstream on my Subaru is throwing a code. Subies do this fun thing where they disable cruise control when the CEL is on. I'm not too concerned, it's running well and the MPGs are about what I'd expect for the type of driving I've been doing, but it'd be nice to fix it and get cruise back on.
Nice video! Happy new year ! I hope this check engine light is a small issue, caused by the plug an nothing more. One question: What tyre brand and size are you wearing ?
🎄Merry Christmas🎄Things just happen. U could wash your car & check engine light comes on. I've changed oil & something go wrong. Your RAV4 looks really great Please paint or coat the plastic black front trim. The faded just isn't cutting it. 🤓👍
If the engine light is not flashing, no need to worry. The “engine on” light indicates that the exhaust mixture going out the muffler is not 100% kosher. Nothing to worry about.
@@tr7391 Actually yes. If you don’t drive older Toyotas, be quit. My engine light has been on since 2013 on my Toyota Matrix with 324.000 miles and it does not affect anything. Older Toyotas dashboard often light like a Christmas tree. Toyotas are reliable. Other car brands are too feeble and touchy, any light whatsoever is a sign of impending doom.
@@Owen_Earl My 2006 RAV4 has “maintenance required” light that turns on every 5,000 miles notifying me it’s time to change oil which I do myself with 0w20 oil. After changing the oil, I reset it by pushing the Trip 1 button and holding it this erasing the “maint req” light. If the “engine light” is on and flashing that probably means one of the spark plugs or coils is bad, or there is a vacuum leak on the intake system. Engine would run rough in this case.
@@igorseprak6177 no. CEL could be on for HUNDREDS of reasons. ive owned 30 vehicles. i repair them all myself. ive done engine swaps. i know infinitely more about cars than you do. it is not always an exhaust issue when a CEL pops up.
Well, I hope a return to the shop includes a business that probably already made good money from this fellow and they honor the fact that whatever they did while doing work that DID NOT include the fuel system caused the check engine code. Therefore, they should diagnose/repair for no charge after using a more sophisticated diagnostic tool...
Pull the ecu and look inside for leaking capacitors before throwing parts at the problem. A few cents and some soldering fixed a similar code on my ford ecu…
I have the opposite problem, system too lean. But the car drives flawlessly, so who cares 😅, it's a 2007 hyundai accent 1.4 petrol. Maybe it's because it runs on LPG? Who knows..
I suggest you put a K&N airfilter in your car, great improvement, better pick up. I've got one in my 2001 Camry 2.2 and I always put in ethanol-free 93 gas 😊
If I ever buy a RAV4 this channel will be my reference point for any issues. Have a great Xmas.
I'm glad to hear it. Thank you kindly
The way you addressed it so calmly, is a goal.
Thank you! 😅
you have to take it to scotty kilmer
You are right! 😆
He'll fix it with his fancy scan tool.@@Owen_Earl
Kilmer's replacement has arrived 😂
Seriously though, I've caught a couple videos from this channel and enjoyed em all so far.
Scotty will plug in one his fancy scanning tools

That’s interesting. I hope it works out!
I was under the impression that I was the only guy driving with an ODB2 reader on the back 😂.

Thank you kindly! This RAV4 has the Nordman WR SUV Tires. They seem to work well.
If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. I’ve driven old beaters since I got my license in 2010 and that’s the biggest thing I will suggest.

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say it's "catalytic efficiency bank 1" 😂
Haha-Not a bad guess!
@@Owen_Earl Just put a spacer until you have time to clean the cat. Works every time.
Have a 99 , need to replace the exhaust manifold and front struts. Very reliable
Vacuum leak or fuel filter issue or fuel pressure I bet
Clogging in cat

Can you please get some Cerakote Trim Restorer for the front bumper and black plastic trim? It’s amazing!👌🏼
Worth a shot! Thanks for the recommendation.
@ I had a Honda Element and it made it look 15 years younger (when it was 20-years-old).
Yeah my PO420 comes on every few months or so, I’m gonna either pull the motor and rebuild it or a gte swap. Anything to keep my rav going on the road
Ah, right on! 😎 thanks for watching.
where is your tracy control button
No traction control happily. ABS though!
Feliz navidad y prospero ano nuevo 😂
You should take it back to the shop that did work in case they missed something. After a big job like that, its very likely.
Thanks for the suggestion! I have been considering that

If it's running too rich, you risk destroying your catalytic converter, so make sure to fix this soon!
Thanks-Wouldn’t want that!
Gas cap gasket?
I will check that out. Thanks
I have a 2000 Toyota Corolla and the check engine light is on because of a faulty MAF sensor, so everything is fine except fuel economy

Something exaust gas related would be my guess as a suzuki owner, but hey, who knows..
