- Welcome to my Trumpeter 1/200 RMS Titanic Radio Control Conversion Build.
I haven't built a model for over 20 Years and the Trumpeter Titanic is very detailed but I fancied giving this a go and recording it in the hope that others might find my videos helpful rather than a How-To.
In this video I show how I airbrushed the Hull, using paints from Scalecolors.com.
MAGNIFIQUE !!!
Be interested to see what that looks like, Cheers Johnny!
Hi yer! Paint bleed can be so frustrating but overall you kept your cool and got it sorted! I ended up making a complete thin brass replacement for the hull plating......don't ask!
That brought it's own problems but I am getting there with it now. Anyway good job on the hull, stick at it!! Regards JH
Honestly, great job. Your stern and lower hull plating work is nothing short of spectacular. I gave up on my stern plating about half way. What I left looks good and adds depth to the back, but you are LeBron level!!!!! Nice work!
Thanks Christopher it was definitely tricky to get it to look right!
Especially the plating on the shaft housings, off the charts good. I’m going to give it a solid shot when the time comes.
The solution for getting the center shaft in was brilliant too, clever. Nice one again
Again, brilliant. I'm learning a ton.
Pleased to hear that Brian, that was the whole reason of doing the build blog in the first place to help others!
Nice Job 😊
Really good choice of colors from what I've seen so far, the antifouling paint looks especially good! Looking forward to the next updates
Thanks @makiducky I’m very happy with the colours so far, just testing clear coats at the moment to make sure they are going to be suitable and don’t affect the colour so hopefully the next video will be piecing it all together ready for the real model building side of things!
love it , which tape for the masking did you use for this one , just got the trumpeter 1/200 i am about to start ti
I used low tack frog tape, hope this helps!
