My favorite part about this game is that the alternate ending you could get here is certainly the happiest, but also not the right one. In the grand scheme of things, it's second worst only to you leading the invasion; your character is the only one who can put a complete stop to the impending doom, and keeping you locked up is only stalling the inevitable. Unless they want to build a huge facility every time they send another scout or god-forbid two or more, destruction is sure to come.
Man, that moment when you realize that YOU are the villain of this story, that the Jailers are trying to stop you for a reason, and that The Song, despite stopping you before and having to sacrifice her chance to return to Earth, tries to reason with you and save not only herself, but the Earth and you as well. I mean, sure, in a way, you agree to remain in a "prison" of a sort if you decide to take up her offer, but she offers you a world where you can be free and at peace, and with someone to keep you company.

My favorite boss fight out of the whole game, the music ( which was also my favorite song in the entire game and now has a place in my iPod) the arena, the backdrop, the sense of scale during this fight was just amazing and seriously sent chills down my back.
I remember first trying this boss after dying to every boss before her at least once. It felt to me, at the time, that she had no hope of stopping Rider, so this was her only option: calming him to relenting. I also appreciate how conceited and 'above' she is to him. Only 2 bosses were like this and both had the ability to fly. It makes a lot of symbolic sense
@MC Cooper you talking about the Star or the voice... bc the Voice, while he was being manipulated by him, it benefited him to follow along. He wanted freedom, the voice provided some insight to the next boss, and the voice took a gamble yhay he wouldnt destroy the world in the end
The Song was so close to being a wholesome and sympathetic enemy. But after hearing her combat dialog, she is much less sympathetic/wholesome and much more toxic controlling. Would of been interesting to have had a legit sympathetic jailor who didn't want to fight you but would ultimately fight you if you chose to walk past her, blaming her actions on her duty rather than blaming her actions on you rejecting her offer.

Well to be fair this the first time when an opponent willingly submits their defeat to him. Everyone prior fiuhht to the end. He reflected on his killing of The HAND previously. This Inthink was to make him question what he is/what's he doing. So that's at least why I assume he hesitates.
It is your Descion if he is evil or not, if you stay long enough in that area before the fight begins you will receive one of the three endings, actually only one ending results in him being truly evil

In my first fight against this boss I was doing quite badly when the fuzz bass interlude (4:30 in this video) started. But the moment the song turned brutal, I knew I had this. Fantastic track. Amazing soundtrack overall. Same league as SMG and Doom.
finally killed her man is she annoying but you can parry her when she flies straight at you and make sure you charge attack after the big laser beams and the last part of her phase stay right near the pillars to easily dodge the attacks and start from right to left hope these tips helps anyone who is stuck
I found out you could parry the attack where he flies at you by complete accident, accidentally parried at the exact right time. Didn’t think you could before that.

Yeah I noticed I can go backwards towards the 5th boss again, or at least the area, so the game was like YEP you stayed more then 2 minutes in the area and then BAM I stayed with her and it gave me the achievement "there is kindness in you". Also in the end credits it says you have reached a peaceful solution. I got to mad because this was by accident and it ducked me back to the beginning
In this fight, I ended up fighting the most distressing things within myself: religious trauma, acute paranoia, self-doubt, self-LOATHE, spiritual attacks... Most couldn't fathom the level of fear I endure, I mean, I believe CRAZY shit to be possible, I'm talking sci-fi occult shit that can -eventually- freely do worse than kill you(the boss in this fight condoned such, now this is personal(😋). My fear isn't gone, it may NEVER be(😭), but I discovered it's not this fear that defines me, but what I do in spite of it, & how I'm willing to go to any, EVERY length to defeat the vile core it comes from that implicates FAR MORE than just myself. I'm not religious, but, "I trust You, God, whatever form You exist in.." It's funny, I've been scrambling for a solution to this my whole life, & the catalyst to finalize it ended up being a mere video game.
It you watch it in slow motion though, the sword doesn't hit her, it just goes through the front of the halo and hits one of her wings. It doesn't actually hit her head.

Even if bunny is a bad guy (I have no idea) the game starts with you locked up, being tortured by some nutjob who claims he's going to hurt you for eternity. Wanting to be free doesn't make you a bad guy. Even this Mercy knockoff is just another jailer. if to a nicer prison than before. She says the chains were a mistake, but she still tries to keep you caged. When you refuse she calls you blind (true) and arrogant. (probably not) then she has the gall to claim that killing her will haunt you for the rest of your days. She sure has a high opinion of herself. If she really was a good guy, she wouldn't be working with a group of torturers and trying to bar your escape. She should try explaining shit without forcing you to choose between "talk to me, but then stay here forever" or "I'll tell you nothing and you have to kill me" That might be better chalked up to bad writing than her being a hypocrite though. It seems like she truly was intended to be sympathetic, considering how bunny claims you hesitated.
If she really cared, she would have tried that in the first place, that is just a plan b, the plan a was to let you being tortured for eternity. She is not a good character but she want you tou think she is for me, because she know that it is the last thing she can try to do if she is not strong enough to beat you. Also staying with her will probably lead to the end of the world.
Really my favorite boss of the whole game! The music, the environment, the boss herself...I really think this should've been the last fight! And she herself is soooo cool...only difference is I would've given her a sexier voice. I can't help but wonder how she would've reacted if the character grabbed and kissed her at the end. She is beautiful after all!
what a bullshit boss this is. granted im crappy at this kind of games but holy fuck who thought the last phase was a good idea. jfc this is the reason i stopped playing the game. the hitboxes are also ridiculous in this game sometimes im literally walking through her bullets, such a shame, this could be a real fun ride.
I found this boss to the be cheesiest of them all. There's waaaaaay too much unavoidable damage. This game is supposed to be all about your skill. The minefield and counterattacks while you're stuck in animation in the 3rd phase especially stick out to me as stupid. This game was so hit and miss sometimes.
The burst is was more cheese, and the hand too, and the line lol. The burst has all those one hit sniper shots, and her last phase is awful, plus her sentinels in the first phases are annoying as fuck. The hand blocks almost all your ranged damage in 3 phases, and triggers melee sequences that are rely fast and hit hard, and his final attack requires skill, it's not just about avoiding projectiles. And the line is a bastard until you figure out how to do every phase and how everything works. The song? Meh, first phases are pretty straightforward, and on the last one you can notice what to do just by, I don't know, considering it as an option lol

I remember first trying this boss after dying to every boss before her at least once.
It felt to me, at the time, that she had no hope of stopping Rider, so this was her only option: calming him to relenting.
I also appreciate how conceited and 'above' she is to him. Only 2 bosses were like this and both had the ability to fly. It makes a lot of symbolic sense

The Song was so close to being a wholesome and sympathetic enemy. But after hearing her combat dialog, she is much less sympathetic/wholesome and much more toxic controlling.
Would of been interesting to have had a legit sympathetic jailor who didn't want to fight you but would ultimately fight you if you chose to walk past her, blaming her actions on her duty rather than blaming her actions on you rejecting her offer.
the rabbits dialogue before going to fight her makes all the more sense now
I love the way this video shows you're human. There are so many videos of tough games like these with 0 hits and other crazy things. I am not dissing but you got hit lots of times and even died once, but man! There were certain things you did I didn't even know you could do and still really kicked her ass! Man, No exactly, when The Song prepared to die, instead of trying to beat The Stranger and fail or the Stranger left her dead after the fight (he just had to kill her if he wanted to, instead he froze and he took a moment before moving the sword to finish with her), it seems that if he wanted to stay with The Song according to The Voice when he addressed Stranger telling him that he saw as if he *look hestitate* (the proof of that is : the scene of the secret ending when you stay with her without moving for more or less a minute, ironically she has the credits and thanks for the end for stopping fighting, from the creators, it gives me the feeling that they did it on purpose so that it is the true ending) there to admit that The Song was serious about *"Make this right"* , as her theme song says, she being against the other jailers and restrictions, is the only jailer that gives you the option of mercy without moving Stranger back to the cell and is the only Jailer left life in way (or turn around her) by Stranger When he kill the others (Summary don't stay in the cell in exchange for living with someone who understands you is better). The Stranger stays with the waifu angel, *True ending* +++ *the new game called Heaven from the same developer with protagonists with somewhat familiar designs*

I went back and had to start over after getting the good ending. I didnt know there was a trigger for the early ending. I was just looking around
When I saw her accept her demise I thought "wait, he is hesitating! Why would he hesitate? Sure he has a bit of good in him but still, he won't spare her, I know that! From what I have seen him kill before I can assume he is just making the player think he will spare the woman when really he won't"

Well to be fair this the first time when an opponent willingly submits their defeat to him. Everyone prior fiuhht to the end. He reflected on his killing of The HAND previously. This Inthink was to make him question what he is/what's he doing. So that's at least why I assume he hesitates.
It is your Descion if he is evil or not, if you stay long enough in that area before the fight begins you will receive one of the three endings, actually only one ending results in him being truly evil

This boss is a nightmare on the hardest difficulty but the music alone in this game makes you wanna beat the damn boss

In my first fight against this boss I was doing quite badly when the fuzz bass interlude (4:30 in this video) started. But the moment the song turned brutal, I knew I had this. Fantastic track. Amazing soundtrack overall. Same league as SMG and Doom.

finally killed her man is she annoying but you can parry her when she flies straight at you and make sure you charge attack after the big laser beams and the last part of her phase stay right near the pillars to easily dodge the attacks and start from right to left hope these tips helps anyone who is stuck
I found out you could parry the attack where he flies at you by complete accident, accidentally parried at the exact right time. Didn’t think you could before that.

Yeah I noticed I can go backwards towards the 5th boss again, or at least the area, so the game was like YEP you stayed more then 2 minutes in the area and then BAM I stayed with her and it gave me the achievement "there is kindness in you". Also in the end credits it says you have reached a peaceful solution. I got to mad because this was by accident and it ducked me back to the beginning
Fuck this boss fight, I've been trying to beat it for 3 days.
In this fight, I ended up fighting the most distressing things within myself: religious trauma, acute paranoia, self-doubt, self-LOATHE, spiritual attacks... Most couldn't fathom the level of fear I endure, I mean, I believe CRAZY shit to be possible, I'm talking sci-fi occult shit that can -eventually- freely do worse than kill you(the boss in this fight condoned such, now this is personal(😋). My fear isn't gone, it may NEVER be(😭), but I discovered it's not this fear that defines me, but what I do in spite of it, & how I'm willing to go to any, EVERY length to defeat the vile core it comes from that implicates FAR MORE than just myself. I'm not religious, but, "I trust You, God, whatever form You exist in.." It's funny, I've been scrambling for a solution to this my whole life, & the catalyst to finalize it ended up being a mere video game.

DGneoseeker1 nope she died, the only way to open those gates is to kill the Jailer of that Sector, aka kill her.
It you watch it in slow motion though, the sword doesn't hit her, it just goes through the front of the halo and hits one of her wings. It doesn't actually hit her head.

She says the chains were a mistake, but she still tries to keep you caged. When you refuse she calls you blind (true) and arrogant. (probably not) then she has the gall to claim that killing her will haunt you for the rest of your days.

If she really was a good guy, she wouldn't be working with a group of torturers and trying to bar your escape. She should try explaining shit without forcing you to choose between "talk to me, but then stay here forever" or "I'll tell you nothing and you have to kill me"
That might be better chalked up to bad writing than her being a hypocrite though. It seems like she truly was intended to be sympathetic, considering how bunny claims you hesitated.

If she really cared, she would have tried that in the first place, that is just a plan b, the plan a was to let you being tortured for eternity. She is not a good character but she want you tou think she is for me, because she know that it is the last thing she can try to do if she is not strong enough to beat you. Also staying with her will probably lead to the end of the world.
Really my favorite boss of the whole game! The music, the environment, the boss herself...I really think this should've been the last fight! And she herself is soooo cool...only difference is I would've given her a sexier voice. I can't help but wonder how she would've reacted if the character grabbed and kissed her at the end. She is beautiful after all!

I found this boss to the be cheesiest of them all. There's waaaaaay too much unavoidable damage. This game is supposed to be all about your skill. The minefield and counterattacks while you're stuck in animation in the 3rd phase especially stick out to me as stupid. This game was so hit and miss sometimes.

The burst is was more cheese, and the hand too, and the line lol. The burst has all those one hit sniper shots, and her last phase is awful, plus her sentinels in the first phases are annoying as fuck. The hand blocks almost all your ranged damage in 3 phases, and triggers melee sequences that are rely fast and hit hard, and his final attack requires skill, it's not just about avoiding projectiles. And the line is a bastard until you figure out how to do every phase and how everything works. The song? Meh, first phases are pretty straightforward, and on the last one you can notice what to do just by, I don't know, considering it as an option lol
