- Tombstone is a town in southeastern Arizona, known for its Wild West history. On historic Allen Street, the O.K. Corral outdoor theater re-enacts an 1881 cowboy gunfight. Resident ghosts are said to haunt the bullet-riddled Bird Cage Theatre. Outlaws are among the local townsfolk buried at the 1878 Boothill Cemetery. Recorded January 22, 2021. It really is! We enjoyed a full day exploring the town and taking in the attractions.
I've been there growing up a few times. I really want to revisit now as an adult. I really liked the town.
A very fun day trip for us. I would recommend a visit for anyone.

I went to Tombstone 49years ago before it became so highly commercialized and touristy. It was more fun when it was more authentic !
I don't know, we sure had a fun day visiting and exploring the town. I guess I like "touristy" places.

It was a lot of fun when I went in 2018. It is a tourist trap but it's a fun one with a lot of real historical buildings. I was doing military training at Ft. Huachuca which was also a great experience because it's a very historical fort so I did the historical tour of the base and it's museum. I just had a very good time in the area.

Tombstone has been so commercialized since the last time I was there.
I suppose the town would not survive without commercialization. Besides, what harm does stores, shops and restaurants make?
@@JohnHynek I get that. My personal opinion every time or everything that gets commercialized, a part of the original attraction becomes less.

Commercialization of these towns is the only way the towns stay alive. No tourists, the towns fade away forever.
