Never knew a broken screen could be clean and placed another glass on it and will still work. How the hell did I throw my broken screen away after I bought another one
What the other guy said, plus if you get the part through a vendor you can RMA it as a buyback anyway so those options are also available if you do just the screen replacement as a whole. You could definitely charge the customer cheaper if you perfect this type of repair.
There is an official waterproof sealant you can get from Apple. I do not remember the exactly installation of that sealant, but if you put that on and get a water damage at the end (damaged in Apple recommended water depth range) Apple should cover the damage though. In the video, I don't think he used the official waterproof sealant.

only very specialised shops (probably only in india and asia) will do this, its rather risky and only very skilled workers can do it
