Hello! Im going to change my original airfilter to a sportairfilter, (not a pod one) I have a aprilia sr50r 2020 euro 4 with a PHVA 17.5 with stock 58 main jet. How much do I need to go up in size of the main jet and do I need to change the pilot jet and my needle or is it only nessesary to change the main jet, thx!

What I changed on thr Carb is: A7 Needle (clip at second lowest), Mainjet 68 and Secondaryjet 36. - Stock Airbox with removed snorkel - Malossi Airfilter sponge - open Exhaust Manifold with stock exhaust. My Problem is, that when I ride it feels like it's to rich. But the sparkplug is nice brown. And also when i am full throttle - let of for 1~2 seconds and go back full throttel it doesn't respond for a split second. Like it doesn't have patrol. It doesn't make sense.... Do you have a good tip? 😅
I change the original jets to a biger one and now on the start on litl throtle its like has low power that is on like 20 to 30 kmh then its going its good after that on half and full throtle its good but on the litl throtle its like had low power what you think. The scooter is 50cc 2 stroke
hello nice video! I have a similar scooter that has big issues when cold. it has trouble starting off until warm. I tried looking at the choke but nothing. it's winter now and it didn't happen in the summer. do I increase the jet size?
@@scooterstreetau I have a new Carb, intake manifold, reeds, gasket, crank seals aren't leaking, air filter is clean and auto choke is working! A good spark is present too. This only happens when cold. It's pretty cold out here.
I just bought a 2000 aprilia sr50, replaced the carb for a stock carb that’s been cleaned, now it bogs bad when giving it any throttle and when I lift up the rear wheel it revs like normal. Could that be the choke cable getting caught on something? The stock one ran fine but sputtered every once in a while. Put that one back in and the bog is still there

I have Zip 50cc 2t - with a gianelli exhaust and with the idle screw all the way in I still can't get the idle speed high enough.... should I go up one pilot jet to gain a better range of idle speed?
what could the problem be if the engine sputters at wide open and at low rpms but works perfectly at 3/4 throttle. just installed a new carb so i know it needs some adjusting but what should i adjust or change
Start with the jet, as a trick crack the air box cover and have a slight opening to allow more air in. Give it a rev and see if it clears this issue and then you know it is rich, jet down 1. Or you can be over capacity of the cylinder.

What a great design scooter! It is like a big brother to the ZIP. I ike it. I would start with the 66 jet, make sure the scooter is riding perfect before you touch it with any tools..then get the mods started.
@@scooterstreetau yes it is quite a nice scooter. it is running perfect now, fixed a bogging issue that had to do with an air leak. well thanks man! 66 jet it is.
@@scooterstreetau yeah im ordering some 5.7, 5.5 and 5.3g rollers. will see if i need lighter/heavier. clutch is gonna have to wait a bit til i get more money. cheers!

Hi, I bought a used yamaha neos mbk ovetto 50cc with a top speed of 70 kmh i put a gianelli extra ehxaust and malossi variator with 7.0 g rollers and the top speed didnt change at all, and it also starts at a very low rpm and when i reach 10-20 then it really starts to pull maybe changing the clutch springs will fix that? And as for the jett i dont really know what i got what do u recommend i put?
@@nikolajukic5256 It was not the rollers problem, for the start i fixed it by replacing the Torque Spring for a malossi yellow one this made it get to high rpm and start fast, as for the top speed i needed to change the transmission on the back I put yamaha aerox one and bam scooter now goes 85

Go up 10 sizes until the carburation is spluttery and then lean it off from there.

Keep tuning, this maybe a RICH mix. Always balance the system.

Try to find out what the cause its, it maybe low compression, air leak, auto choke, Air filter issue, low spark.

Check rubber connections, carby main jet, auto choke and air box filter.

I have the same aprilia, how did you remove the airbox from the carb mine has no hose clip but I am afriad of using too much force

Yes the 100 is ok, I would start with the 94. If you have a POD filter start with 120.

You need to add go fast parts to go faster. Such as exhaust or transmission.

This can be very difficult to diagnose! Try everything.

Change the jet once the engine is warm, increase jet so the carburetion is spluttery then jet down until it cleans up when throttling.

Yellow Polini Clutch spring set, 7.2 gram rollers. 56 main jet.

You should always balance the whole system. This will harm the system.

You should trail different rllers and also fit a clutch or tighter springa at the least, all the best.@@twostrokegarage

The clutch springs will have the greatest effect on the accleration and building RPM.@@twostrokegarage

I can't really comment as I have no history of issues or tuning, but I can say I agree with you, these upgrades should increase the power and speed.

The number is printed on the head or side of the jet, very small print.
