🌲 Hello and welcome to Holmåkra 22! 🌲
A new series that mainly will be focused around forestry and logging! With different setups, mods, etc.
In this episode, we'll use the Komatsu forwarder to collect all of the logs we processed in the last episode so we can unload and stack them along the side of the road, ready to be transported to the sawmill at a later date.

I spend roughly 15-20 minutes loading and unloading the forwarder. With other words my entire night was gone stacking all the logs near the road. :P

That's a few loads! Amazing work!
A tip I have learned over time: If you use more arm extension each time you go to pick up or put down the wood, you become even faster and smoother :)

Yea agree! Sometimes it just feels very ''wombly'' when loading the forwarder while the arm is extended. :D
@bargonmods exactly the same as we do it in the real world. There you also use the extender to make it more efficient! BTW just love your wood harvester controls mod ! And to you Bambi, great video again ! Why have I just discoverd your channel now !

Hello! cool to see you driving, it looks supersmooth. have you made any changes to the timber? made them heavier or something? my timber does not lie still, it moves all the time. it is very frustrating. also I see you get a good grip on the timber with your claw, how? my claw bends in every direction, loses timber, timber hangs under the claw if you understand.
I also play on the Holmåkra map.
I haven't. Logs do jiggle a little now and then, but this was a fresh savegame and I think that might have helped a little.
The grapple do bug every now and then, but it helps to be very careful and don't grab more than what feels comfortable. 😄

wow u really good at it. i camt work with the loader, if i try to pick the logs it ends up in 1 being grabbed while the rest rolls away.

I have a question about your grip, how come you almost never lose any log when you greab em? I'm using 2x T1600T joysticks to make it easier, but somehow my logs almost everytime slip out. You know why?
Tyvm! 😄 I'm not sure if it actually did anything, but in this video, I kept my 'close grapple' button pushed down most of the time, so whenever I dropped a few logs, the grapple tightened right away.
I don't normally do that, but I think it helped since these logs were quite thin.
How does it look so smooth on all videos i watch? When i do this the tree physics are horrible and they just escape the crane and i cant pick up more then mabye two at the time because they are to heavy or they just open the crane by them self and i drop them...
I think it depends on the types of trees. For example, full-grown spruce trees are huge and heavy, while the trees I cut in this video are custom-made, small, and have low volume. 😄

How do you manage the crane control so well? If I try to load wood then it's not as good as yours. I'd be really interested
Well, having dual joysticks helps a lot. 😅 Other then that it just boils down to practice. 😄
What kind of joysticks do you have? I'd buy some too, I just don't know what's good
@@Christian-jb9mx I play with Dual Thrustmaster T.16000M. They are by far the best joysticks I have owned myself.
Though I do consider the new simtask farmstick as they have more buttons! 😄😁

I use two joysticks. The T.16000M FCS SPACE SIM DUO package, it comes with a left and right hand joystick. 😄

Do you have any issues with frame drops when you do big piles?
I haven't had any trouble with my current setup so far. Frames do drop when working with big piles, but they go from 130-140 fps to 80-90 fps, so it's not really noticeable. =)

Yea, Holmåkra is a heavy map for sure! But considering that the entire map is almost purely dense forest, it's really well optimized. =D

I use Shadowplay to record, so i believe it's 60 fps 😁@@FarmLapse
Wish yoh talked during them instead of the music but your a awesome operator in the game im experienced in real life but its hard on the ps5 controller i miss my pc bit never logged on it just farmed

Yea it does! But it also slides just standing still not sure why.
