- ‘Home School’ คือโรงเรียนประจําทางเลือกใหม่ที่ตั้งอยู่กลางป่าที่ห่างไกลผู้คน ในทุกๆ 3 ปี จะมีการคัดเลือกนักเรียนที่มีคุณสมบัติตรงตามที่โรงเรียนต้องการ รุ่นละไม่เกิน 13 คน เพื่อเข้าศึกษาในหลักสูตรพิเศษที่ไม่มีโรงเรียนไหนเคยมีมาก่อน และเด็กทั้ง 13 คนต้องใช้ชีวิต เรียน กิน นอน และเอาตัวรอดใน Home School ให้ได้ตลอดระยะเวลา 3 ปี
จากที่เคยคิดว่า โรงเรียนนี้จะเป็นโรงเรียนประจําของเด็กร่ำรวยที่เน้นความสะดวกสบายเหมือนที่คติประจําโรงเรียนกล่าวไว้ว่า ‘การเรียนรู้ที่ดูแลเหมือนอยู่บ้าน’ กลับกลายเป็น ‘คุก’ สําหรับเด็กๆ เพราะกฎข้อบังคับที่เคร่งครัด ไม่มีสิ่งอํานวยความสะดวก ไม่มีโทรศัพท์ ไม่มีอินเตอร์เน็ต ต้องตื่นพร้อมกัน นอนพร้อมกัน กินข้าวพร้อมกัน และถ้ามีใครคนหนึ่งผิดกฎ คนที่เหลือต้องถูกรับโทษไปด้วย แต่ใครจะรู้ว่าการเปิดเทอมครั้งนี้จะทำให้ชีวิตของพวกเขาเปลี่ยนไปตลอดกาล...

i realized something while watching this episode. when master armin told maki that he's glad she chose to stay at home school, something clicked in my mind. maybe run chose to leave home school before to go back to their home and k worded his father. they never failed to mention that it was their parents decision to send their children to home school because of some reasons (they're an unwanted child). run being sent to home school before means he was an unwanted child of their father (him and maki) and going back to their home made his father unhappy resulting in an argument that made him k word his dad. im pretty sure the students who chose to leave, will definitely want to go back to home school once they know the real reason why their parents sent them away. after all their friendship is the true definition of home.
I feel like something like this will happen with one of the Kids here as well and then they'll be staying as a Teacher for the next Gens of Homeschool because even though Homeschool is cruel it is still better (is it though?) than an actual prision? Maybe, that's all you need to get an Mr Champ you don't even need to Unalive a parent but just realize why they sent you there.
In the end their Friendship is thicker than the blood they've with their birth-families.
