Thata a lie and false advertisement, if you using 30k a month that mean you will have a daily usages of about 16kw per day, although technically the panells (2750w) can produce 16kw per day on a very good day but most jamaican spend most of ther time at home in the night when the sun isnt shining so from that 16kw about 10kw or more will be used at night and a 5kw battery cannot take you through the night so u will have to used one third of power from jps. If it was a 10kw battery they it would be more possible to reduce to that 95% mention and thats on a good day of sunshine. A 10kw battery and a 4kw panell is more practical.
It actually can if it’s just you alone or you and your wife live together but if u have kids and other relatives in the home you will have to spend more to either get more panels or more batteries plus getting solar lights for outside the home (backyard front yard etc.)is good running the AC for too long isn’t good and the big TVs and radios draw a lot of current cause remember the fridge running none stop I don’t think it will replace JPS but the light bill will be cut more than 1/2 - 3/4 percent
You can tell your friend that we did not say if you can't manage to pay. We said if your bill is that and if you are tired of JPS. But, if is it that your friend can't manage he/she can always get a loan or apply for the NHT grant :) The main objective of solar is to brake free from recurrent bills. In other words, is an investment.
Going by his figures you will recoup this expense in around 3 years. So you will pay the bank that 30k instead of the JPS, but the plus side is that you will not have to worry about this light bill amount or the loan after the 3 years.
@@sean81 you're the only one talking about couldnt/cant afford... u not following?? lol but i agree with you..the upfront cost is a barrier for most... in the intro he said bill 30k or less.. i think he meant to say "or more"
