Very nice car.I like the color very much. Also I think the looks of the back of the car is very cool. In general I like the car. Thanks LOU for sharing this video. I enjoyed watching it. Have a good day.
AWwww big bro Lou, this Crossfire right here is a lil' gem, man. But wait! You are leaving me knocked out 😵in the back of that macabre (but beautiful) Cadillac Eldorado from a few days ago? I haven't heard back from you as I usually do, man. Leaving ol' JV Johnny to sleep it off in that "Dracula's casket" like trunk in that old Caddy?! Jeez Louise, big bro!!! JEEEZ LOUISE lol 🤣🤪! But this Chrysler....(sigh).....I love these Crossfires, Lou. Sexy and pretty cars. Adorable, really. Like that initial revamp of the 300 (and Charger, Magnum)-so F$%^&in' cool, big bro. And solid as tanks. German engineering with expressive American looks-what's not to love? To see Chrysler now, down to a freaking minivan....WOW....is way beyond sad. But that is our world right now.....moving on from that, and rising above, I see this gorgeous gal right here that has my unapologetic working class, former JV baseball jock/pretty boy stocking feet up and twitching, that's for sure😏😏. My floppy sneaks are rounding the block 😜. My favorite part is how you highlighted the build tag-made by Karmann in Germany. Basically a tank like Mercedes-Benz with a hot, expressive American body. What's not to love? Thanks for showing a myriad of so many cars, big brother....but get me outta that trunk before ol' Drac comes back! I think he's sweet on your little bro JV Johnny, Lou. Yikes! I'll wind up slung over his shoulder, sneakers in his free hand, my stocking feet 'n calves limply dangling as he carries me off to his castle for Halloween LMAO 🤪⚾⚾😵😵😵
Hey JV Johnny, Happy to share this "lil' gem" with you :-) Hmmm, wonder why I did not get the Caddy message? My pleasure sharing the "myriad of so many cars" with you, Lou
Hey big bro! Great to hear from you, man! Maybe I forgot to press the "send" button on that Caddy response? Or before I could do so I got knocked out and was slung over a guy's shoulder in my stocking feet? I am a very lightweight JV baseball guy, after all🤣. Jeez Louise, sorry Lou lol 🤪JV Johnny ⚾⚾
This car is completely based on the Mercedes R171 chassis. You can actually swap in a Mercedes V8. It is a direct bolt in. Under the hood in this one is the venerable Mercedes M272 V6. There is also an SRT 6 version of this vehicle. It utilized the Mercedes 3.2 supercharged V6 found in AMG models. It was pretty rare.
Lou I had one of these cars. Mine was a 2004 and a coupe. They did not have a convertible the years had mine. Mine was the first model year and a graphite color with a orange and black interior it was gorgeous. I love these little cars but they hold a terrible resale value. Very powerful and fun to drive. That Mercedes Benz six cylinder really moves these cars. A very nice car!
An SLK under the skin, so the engineering will last forever. Lou‘s comment about the Crossfire is spot on. They’re still undervalued. Anorak fact : the Crossfire was manufactured by Karmann, not directly by Mercedes-Benz.

@@loucostabile pretty reliable. I had the hard top. A couple of issues, oil changes can be expensive. It takes 9 quarts of synthetic. Ignition switch will lock up on you. Shop charged me 1200, but there is a hack that's much cheaper. The headliner will sag, 300 to 400 to have it replaced. Other than that its solid. Had to trade it in for a 4 door. Get the 6 speed, it is great fun. They are super cheap right now.
I've always loved the looks! In fact, I'm thinking of buying one...BUT other than "hobbyists who really like to work on their cars, the quality and repair issues seem to be a real issue. Chyrsler dealers won't work on them, nor will Mercedes and parts hard to find. I think I'm really scared to buy for this unless it is only a weekend car. But they sure are beautiful. Don, please keep us updated on she is working out for you.
Nice car, I really like how the wing opens. I think the back of car looks pretty cool! Interesting story, thank u!
Hi WickedFireFly13, Agreed, the wing is a nice feature on this one :-) Thank you for sharing. You're welcome, Lou

@@loucostabile 😀
Are they pretty solid cars or do they screw up allot?
Hi John Reece, Not sure as I've never owned one. Hope a Viewer with the car can answer your question, Lou
