The interviewer that asked Scarlet about her undergarments also asked Anne about her body personally too. They need to either fire him, or teach him some common manners.
They always ask women diet and looks questions but men get questions on their jobs. That always gets me mad.
Like it's such a secret how to lose weight and get in shape. All those mysterious vegetables, work outs and not eating fast food.
Not really, if an actor has an impressive body then they'll be asked about diet, nutrition and workouts, many male actors have been asked about their diet and workout
@@OM-97 You're right that men get asked those questions, but the *reason* behind it is different. For men, it's "how did you bulk up for this role?" but for women it's, "how did you get so thin?" For the man, it's about how he was able to fit into his particular role in the show (so it's career focused, just like asking about method acting or stunts or their journey as an actor), whereas for the woman, it's about how she's able to fit a particular beauty standard and therefore fit into a skin-tight costume (so it's not at all career focused, it's JUST about her body.) If you still disagree, let's talk about how actresses are expected to maintain that standard of beauty and thinness even when they're not performing a specific role, or else they'll have "let themselves go" but actors aren't expected to keep all of the muscle that they gained for a specific role. So again, not the same.
Even if someone is genuinely curious how Scarlett Johannsen or Anne Hathaway maintained a certain size to fit into their costume, it's a shallow question that has sexist undertones and perpetuates the idea that women have to be thin and beautiful to have worth (which, hello, helps lead to eating disorders), so interviewers need to stop asking it. Find a better question.
@@angelenapulis9083 I can name loads of examples to male actors who have been said to "let themselves go" it's just the same I don't see why men and women can't be equal?? If a man gets in shape for a role he is also trying to fit a particular beauty standard... like Chris Hemsworth in avengers, he is built like a god muscler and ripped low body fat, and its career focused for women as well that's why Scarlett Johannsen is so successful because she is so driven and determined, as soon as a man "let themselves go" he's labelled to have a "dad bod" it's the same but different just different labels but either way regardless its equal, plus there are MANY successful women actors who are famous and very popular and successful who aren't even in what people consider good shape and musicians, it's just when someone plays a superhero or whatever they have to obviously look the part both men and women and men need to bulk up and get low body fat and women get slim and muscular as well because that's their trait which goes in their favour, if your a woman and your attracted to a man then most womens perfect man in a psychical aspect is tall, musclar, low body fat, strong, confident, tanned... and a man's perfect women is the feminine version so petite, slim or curvaceous like to be honest as a man I don't just find slim women attractive but off topic, I respect your opinion although your wrong,
Women need to accept that men and women are equal women are not superior over men and men have to deal with alot of agro as well if not more
@@angelenapulis9083 those women get these roles because of their slim physiques and become role models to millions of girls, it shouldn't be the only question, or dwelled on like in these clips, but it's a fair question since many of their fans want to emulate them. and i mean, until recently almost all the top hollywood actresses were thin and beautiful, that's how they got to be actresses so yes it is much of their worth. not a lot of oscar level actresses but almost all are attractive
