    ...nothing but "Respect" for someone that takes a project literally from one end to the other, ....stump to install...so to say........not done that much anymore. The amount of work is so much more than buying a precut/finished product....but look at the results....walking on masterpiece.........Really enjoy all the logging and milling videos you've done, look forward to seeing the new trailer and hoist in action.......Camera work and narration works well for you.....well done......your wife....what a trooper!....lucky man.

    I really like the fact that a few months after you finished the furniture is in but the trim still wasnt down and the outlets didnt have plates. This is how every room in my house is!

    • @mcremona
      @mcremona  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      And now a few months later, the outlets have plates but still no trim :)

    • @Benwinch07
      @Benwinch07 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Matthew Cremona Aint nobody got time for that. After all that hard work the last thing I want to do is trim something or fiddle with buying outlet plates. I finally got around to making a built in, open faced towel closet next to the shower stall in my bathroom (a year after I finished the bathroom, which isn't trimmed), and the closet got towels put in it before I could paint or trim it so it's gonna sit like that for a while.

    Beautiful floor! Those long, [ 6" wide planks], look so much better than anything out of a box.
    The squared edges without a micro - bevel give the floor a more homogeneous appearance.
    Funny dog... he took a nap in the middle of the project.
    Great job, and hats off to your wife.

    As an amateur with woodworker, i typically feel overpowered with the entire arrangement th-cam.com/users/postUgkxrYREG3-7f1Aqk9ams3ZESRNzGnfdUtyQ . Be that as it may, this arrangements drove me through with much clarity and effortlessness woodplans. Works i now work like a genius. That is great!

    That is a super job Matt. Pretty much covered the whole thing from soup to nuts.
    You have made a significant addition to the value of your house. I would estimate you have about 500 hours in that project. Aren't leaf blowers great. Wonderful results.
    Hardwood does not accumulate dust like carpet so the little helper will have a nice clean surface to crawl on. You are going to enjoy this for a long time. All the best.

    I love taking an owners tree and making it into something they can keep as an addition to their home. Also I think it's great that taking a fallen or fresh dead tree and using it for projects, instead of buying cut lumber, free into a project for yourself or the home owner is a awesome thing. Great respect in what you do and how you do......

    Fabulous “stump to finished wood” project. My last kitchen was from white oak trees saved from a typical fire wood fate. Felled, Slabbed, dried, planed, dimensioned, mortised and tenonned, or railed and stiled.
    Sadly the next owners put all that work into a 40 cubic yard dumpster after they moved in.
    Your work is impressive

    Nicely done Matt, no professional floor instaler would ever go to the lengths you demonstrated, very time consuming , and costly if done in the private sector. Work like this is generally reserved for the high end customer who has deep pockets and does not care what it costs. Hat's off.

    Enjoyed this one very much. looking at buying an older home (most from the 1880s) and was thinking that the ones I've seen have huge gaps and cupping. Would a similar method work if I removed the old wide plank pine and milled them into tongue and grove? I'd account for loss by not doing one of the units (this is a duplex) or by doing tile in bathrooms and kitchens. I love the look of slow growth old pine and it would be a shame to cover it with something else.
