I’ve just built mine. Brilliant kit. I’ve used a rechargeable power bank with mine as it eats batteries for breakfast dinner and tea.

There are many different variant of the kits. Some comes with only lights, some comes with lights and sound. Depending on what kit you buy.
I’m currently working on the Ecto-1 and I think I’m going to have to pick these up. Very cool 😎

Firstly thanks for the video.. am currently installing this on my model. Quick question with the beacons approx 7.00 in vid.. ive threaded from front to back and at the stage to connect to the board but i cant work out if there is a specific position for each connecter so they run the correct sequence when all fitted etc. Ive marked the cables (front left outer/front left inner) etc etc. But wanted to make sure they go in correct place on board but cant work that out am afraid 🙈

Love this video! Thank you, but I just wasn't sure if you had to connect the remote before testing the lights. And I have also read that the battery box is not sufficient voltage to power sound and lights at maximum potential, but it seems to work fine!
Battery box has enough voltage and yes you can test lights without remote.

Thanks for your video. On the final step (circuit board under the car) does it matter in which of the 8 plugs you put those cables ? if not how do I know which cable goes into which plug ?
I tried to follow the instructions as closely as possible. In my opinion, I don’t think it matters in which order the 8 cables go in. It’s likely correspond to the order of which you press on the remote.

Hey, great video. Can I ask a question. I installed the same kit to my ecto one but noticed some differences to yours in the video. When you play the song my blue lights don’t flash or dim. Does it make a difference what plug goes into what socket on the pcb circuit board underneath?
It shouldn't make a difference. Try plugging into another socket on the circuit board.
Hi there I've connected everything but I a bit confused with circuit board 8 socket that sit under the car how do I know cable to plug in witch socket
Hi Jody. I don’t think the order in which you plug in the 8 wires matters. It probably correspond to the 8 buttons on the remote.

Try to connect directly to a battery source instead to via a hub.

I buy the kit from amazon but i ve received only the adapter and a usb cable and other small cables which will enlighten the lighters but iam not sure if i received the correct set. What should i do? Return it back?
Check with the amazon store that you bought from.
Can I ask if your speaker is quite loud? Mines on the lowest setting and it cackles like mad! Think I have a dodgy speaker!
Yes the speaker is loud and crisp clear. There’s no crackling sound. Sounds like your speaker is faulty.
This video was excellent - you really clarified some questions I had from the instructions they proved online.
I do have an issue though a - I can turn on the battery pack and everything comes on - lights, flashing, iconic sound but the remote has NO effect on anything. I already put a new battery in the remote but the only thing that makes the lights come on is turning the battery pack on. It then will play the siren for2 minutes or so and then reset all the lights and do it again. None of the buttons on the remote do anything (though the red light on the remote lights up when you push one.
Any thoughts?
Sounds like the infrared module on your circuit board is not working. Contact their customer service.
You need to hold the power button on the remote before you turn the power on and keep holding as you turn on power and the car should flash a few times and boom the controller works
@@ohpooh2824 I've got the same problem, I'll try it, maybe u saved me as I was going nuts! (I didn't know you had to hold the power button on the remote before turning on the power on the board! Cheerd pal!
Maybe a thought one video like this getting to the point, another video where it is much more methodical.

It's a good product. Most of the light kits I received are complete and working order. Only errors can be found in the instructions.
I cannot get the remote to work at all. I tried to pair it over and ove.r can u please help? not alot of info out there for this.
Check with your seller. It might be a faulty set.

Yes there was a mistake in the instructions. The wires were connected wrongly to the circuit board in the instructions. You can check my video to see how the wires are connected.

@@Lingham In step 3 of the instructions, the 2 wires that are connected to position 4 and 5 of the expansion board should be connected to position 2 and 3 of the circuit board in step 10.
Can i use this with usb phone plug instead of batteries ?
Yes you can. However I would suggest using the battery pack instead as you can hide the battery pack inside the car and it becomes portable.
Just hooked this up and all lights just blink. If I hold the power button for several seconds everything comes on but there is no control

Change fresh batteries or connect the USB direct to a power adapter instead of a hub.
@@sgbrickman7526 Tried both of those and get the same results. I have not hooked up the sound yet. And also thank you for this video it saved me on the mistake part of the instructions as I watched this 3x before I started. So thanks again.
Hooked up the sound piece and that works but Remote still basically not functioning

The lights and cables does not compromise the functionality. All the play functions still worked properly.

For the price it's cheap, however it's not correct. The light & sound kit from Brickstuff.com is 100% actually correct.
