We used the Chogoria gate which is about a 4hr drive from Nairobi. We drove ourselves there but there is an option of getting a driver to pick you up.
The trip costs KES 10,000 (USD 100) per person per day. We took a total of three days to go to Lake Ellis, Lake Michaelson and back. The total cost was KES 30,000 (USD 300)per person for 3 days. It was overall such a beautiful experience.
Definitely recommend!

@@ruthomani2307 If you are alone, it will cost you Ksh. 60,000 for the 3 day trip. If you are 2 to 4 people. You'll each pay Ksh. 30,000 for the 3 days. If you are 5 or more, you'll pay Ksh. 24,000 per person for the 3 days experience.

We are definitely trying this out, when all ths is done, and vlog the experience, Enjoyed the content Natalie.
Did this route last year in August in a day. It was more of a run. Started at Chogoria gate at 7am to lenana peak then exited at Sirimon by 9pm. It drizzled for a while, the cold was insane but we (I was with 3 other ladies) had to keep moving. Need I add we were reported at KWS HQ 😀 we found some official waiting for us.
Thing is people (mostly men and foreigners) do day hikes (more of a run) to the peak from Sirimon and back same route. Chogoria day hike was a new thing and especially an attempt from ladies. The KWS guy at Chogoria was horrified when we told him we will be exiting from Sirimon that evening. His reaction was priceless 🤭😊. Anyway, glad that we made them believe it's doable.
