Hi Akshat .... In this video you have beautifully explained various reasons on when to sell out on stocks. But do this same concept apply on investing on direct stocks with large cap. My question is What if after some initial years, I see a steep decline on the stock which I invested thinking it as long term investment for 8 to 10 years. Now should I sell this stock after some watch for few months and notice that it’s still declining or considering the rule of average and also compounding point - wait till 8 or 10 yrs considering it will also reap me good returns and forget about its ups and downs ? In nutshell, my question is - should I invest in large cap direct stocks and forget about it for 5 or 10 yrs thinking it will give good return as its a good large cap company or keep a watch on quarterly basis and if they are declining very much then sell it else keep it. What is the thumb rule you suggest ? Sorry for such a big question. I am new to investing and really need your guidance. Thanks.

At par with your HUL parallel ,I also booked my profit in it today,and shall re-enter ,if situations are OK,even at higher level also, keeping the LT perspective. Again personally,one of my favourite counter is Zeel,and I stay invested in it through all levels,and also trade ,coz' it is a trader's delight to watch it in action and correction both ways !

i am not a swing trader or any day trader.... however, I sold few stocks and bought good stocks from profit... i started my stock market journey in july... i got zomato ipo and sold in two weeks... bought mind tree and sold... bought few infra and auto stocks and sold...all the profit i earned is again put in good stocks which m not going to sell till another decade. Waiting for market correction and gonna buy few more stocks for long term!
