really needed to see that last slide today. I'm constantly going through those ups and downs of feeling like i'm drowning in stuff i need to learn but not having time. So much so, that i end up not doing much of anything, and being paralyzed by choice. It's great to actually hear it from a professional that any method is valid as long as the result works

You've got this! The road is sometimes long and windy, but keep at it, you'll get there if you persist!

this was so helpful, i'm deeply grateful you took the time to share your process to uplift others.
One of the most empowering things is the message you reiterated that the most important part of your workflow is whatever works for you.

This is crazy inspiring the more i watch, like to be Senior Enviorment Artist level in 4 years from getting in the industry is just like wow I had no idea it could be done, I was thinking it would take 10 years to get that level. This is very inspiring, been working on a demo reel for several years, and watching about sculpting being important in Enviornment Art makes sense to me now.

As someone who is too afraid sometimes to take Zbrush and Sculpt, this breakdowns are great. Great Demo!

    Hi Ivanna,
I am a senior 3d artist; I have been working as an artist since 1999 and have been fortunate to contribute (at various levels) to some amazing productions. I say all of this because I am constantly trying to grow and learn as an artist. If I am not work, spending time with family, or fishing, I am learning. I just discovered this video, and then in turn, your Artstation page. I just wanted to thank you for producing this video (as well as other resources). Creating a solid video to help artists grow takes time and preparation. So I wanted to thank you. Cheers! I look forward to seeing more from you. -=R=-

Cool video! a good example of "trust the process", simple stack with good results. I think the main reason to handle the detail normal pass in-engine rather than in Painter, which isn't mentioned here (they're not exactly the same thing) , is that you're not limited by the texture resolution. In-engine, you can keep the detail map sharp, whereas in Painter, even with tiling, the result can still come out a little blurry since you're capped by the texture size.

I was wondering how do you orbit around your model while your cursor is howering on it with an Stylus?
I always click on a empty space on canvas

You press right click instead of left click, and you can map the right click button to one of the side buttons on your stylus. That's what I do

Sculpting? For sure, the tools are different and in different places but I've personally only used Blender for sculpting for the personal work I do.
