One of the medics I used to work with told me back when he took his years ago just to be considered to get into Medic school not only did he need experience but he also needed a letter from the Chief to just get in along with what you covered as far as trying to get in.
Im taking the NREMT in a few weeks as soon as im done with class! I love that these videos are here. I cant get the video vault until next payday though so i cant use it for the NREMT but at least itll help with Medic classes next! Your videos help me learn in a way that im actually learning things rather than just hearing and remembering.
We have 2 schools in the area. Both require knowledge exam, skills write off and case presentation. Along with the 1 year of experience, 3 LOR and several pre-req classes from a college. With the First school this spring, I had the knowledge 94/100 but they were more interested in skills. People who had 70% made it but I did not. I am testing in 18 days for the second school. Wish me luck..
Hi, I am 17 years old a senior in high school. As soon as I graduate I want to get into the field however I know nothing about basic emt. I do not want to jump into Emt school with no prior knowledge however I can’t seem to find anything to get me stated. I see you offer your course I am extremely interested. I would like to know if this course is something that given my current situation would help me jump start my career. Thank you in advance!
I just did what you said, I am 19 and I just graduated this May and my prior knowledge was football, I was so torn on what to do I considered playing in college to take classes to prep but decided that I wanted it bad and just jumped into a basic EMT course. Nothing to worry about my friend, whether it is your teachers or the clinical and ride out you will have to do, everyone is your friend, they want you to become good and I haven't had any bad experiences yet. My only tip of advice is study hard like your life depends on it, and keep a VERY open mind if you have no prior knowledge like I did, I had no idea what I was doing for a long time but once my first ride along came, everything I was taught just came to without any struggle. Goodluck though my guy, if you have any questions feel free to respond to this and ask away and I will help to the best of my knowledge.

You got this!
How did it go
My school doesn’t even have an entry exam 😮 it’s literally a guaranteed admission as long as you already have EMT, BLS, and a high school diploma
We have to take ATI TEAS. I may as well just apply to nurse school also.
Thank you so much for this!
You're so welcome!
